The past few months had been a whirlwind for both Sarang and Sunghoon. Between her hectic shifts at the hospital and his endless idol schedules, finding time to breathe—let alone see each other—felt almost impossible. But somehow, they made it work.

Tonight was one of those rare nights.

Sarang flopped onto her couch, exhaling loudly. "I swear, if I have to deal with one more patient who thinks Google knows more than a doctor, I'll quit and become a florist."

Sunghoon chuckled from the kitchen, where he was rummaging through her fridge. "A florist, huh? I can totally see you yelling at customers for watering their plants wrong."

She threw a cushion at him. "Shut up."

He dodged it easily, grinning. "Seriously, though. You work too much. When was the last time you had a full day off?"

"Last month?" she said, unsure.

He sighed, walking over and handing her a soda. "You need a break, Sarang."

She took the drink and rolled her eyes. "You're one to talk. When was the last time you got a break?"

"Touché."

They sat on the couch together, the only sound being the soft hum of the city outside. It was nice, having these quiet moments. No cameras. No expectations. Just them.

"Remember when we used to hang out every day as kids?" Sunghoon mused. "We'd race to see who could finish ice cream first."

She laughed. "Yeah, and you'd always win. You have an unfair advantage with that mouth."

He smirked. "I'll take that as a compliment."

Sarang shook her head, a smile playing on her lips.

Spending time at Sarang's apartment became their little escape from the world. Sometimes, they cooked together (or rather, she cooked while Sunghoon attempted to help and failed miserably). Other times, they just lay on the couch watching random movies, arguing over which ones were overrated.

One time, Sunghoon fell asleep on her couch, and Sarang draped a blanket over him, watching him for a moment longer than she should have.

She wasn't just happy when he was around—she needed him around.

It scared her.

On another rare night, she visited his apartment for the first time.

"Woah," she said, stepping inside. "This is... cleaner than I expected."

Sunghoon scoffed. "What do you take me for? A slob?"

She glanced at his neatly arranged sneakers and minimalist furniture. "Okay, maybe not. But I did expect at least a sock on the floor."

He flicked her forehead lightly. "I'm not Jay."

She giggled, kicking off her shoes before collapsing onto his couch. "Comfy."

Sunghoon sat beside her, resting his arm behind her on the cushions. "You wanna order food?"

"Absolutely."

An hour later, they were sitting on the floor in his living room, eating takeout straight from the containers. Sarang watched as Sunghoon picked out the mushrooms from his dish and placed them onto her plate without a word.

"You still remember I like mushrooms?" she asked softly.

He looked at her like she was ridiculous. "Of course. I remember everything."
