MANSI'S POV:

SHANVI: Mansi, enough yaar, it's nothing like what you think! I mean, she just came and praised him for his dance! Come on stop being sad now.

MANSI: dance toh maine bhi kiya tha na shanvi, She didn't praise me tho! why only him?

(I danced as well right)

SHANVI: umm maybe she liked his dance more? "nervous chuckle

MANSI: haww so mean yaar Shanvi!go away from here go!

SHANVI: arreeee baba mansi itna matt soch kuch nhi hoga. Bas ek baar usne baat karli iska matlab yeh nhi hai ki shantanu ko date krlegi. Woh abhi bhi bas tujhse hi chipakta hai.

(Ohh mansi come on now don't think too much, its absolutely nothing. Just because she spoke to him once it doesn't mean that she'll date him. He still sticks to you.)

MANSI: I know but did you look at his face while she spoke to him? He looked at her with those heart eyes and his face was almost as red as a tomato.

SHANVI: aukaat se bahar waali ladki aake abhi usse baat karegi toh safed thodi hota. Laal hi hoga na.

(If a girl who's out of his reach will speak to him, then of course his face will turn red, not white.)

I whined at her statement while she came nearer to me than she already was and hugged me from the side while resting her head on my shoulder.

SHANVI: *sigh* Mansi, trust me, he won't ever choose anyone else over you.

MANSI: how do you know?

SHANVI: because I can see it.

MANSI: see what?

SHANVI: your importance in his life. Shantanu sharma can be all active and lively, but the shine in his eyes is almost nil when you're not around her.

MANSI: how can you be so sure?

SHANVI: "sigh" Because he looks at you like the way he's never looked at anyone.

I heart skipped a beat at this statement and turned my head to look at him who was as usual fooling around with the others and found him looking at me already. I looked at his eyes and what Shanvi said was true, his eyes did sparkle when he looked at me. This strange insecurity that I was feeling since yesterday kind off vanished and I turned away from him as I couldn't contain my smile. I turned to look at Shanvi and she had that teasing smile on her face already.

MANSI: what?

SHANVI: see I told you!

MANSI: yeah yeah whatever.

SHANTANU: what's going on?

SHANVI: kuch nhi bas mansi ko pyaa.. 🤭

(Nothing, just mansi is on lov..)

MANSI: Shanvi! you forgot you had to complete the assignment?!! here take mine and copy from it! give work to your hands! not your mouth!

SHANVI: yeah yeah sure! I am leaving then! thanks for your assignment! toodles.
