MANSI's POV:
I picked up my bag to leave, after rejecting Shantanu's call because, why not? I was anyhow going to meet him down there and after him ditching me, he deserved this atleast. I know I was behaving completely different to what my actual nature is, but then humans do have mood swings and I was having mine right now.
He must and will tolerate my mood swings.
He will, right?
I sighed and got up to leave the studio but a sharp pain striked my ankle making me fall on the ground with a welp leaving my mouth.
What the actual freak? did I just sprain my ankle?
I tried to get up again but the pain just increased even more making a sob escape my mouth accompanied by a few tears. I gently touched the part of my ankle which was sprained and hissed due to the pain erupted with the touch. I could sense a bit of swelling in that area and also the bruise was visible.
I shouldn't have attempted that lift on my own.
fvck me!
Shantanu is going to be so mad if he sees me limping. He always tells me to be careful and take these so called courageous decisions of mine whenever I get impulsive. But me being me, I never listen to him and end up hurting myself. Just like I did now.
After this mini self pity session of mine, I slowly held the table kept beside me and tried to get up but the pain in my ankle was killing me.
But nonetheless, I held harder on the table and got up to stand on my feet. Maybe I should call Shantanu and ask him to help me. But, will I do that is the question. And the answer is definately not. Reason, you people might ask. He chose not to help me practice, so he doesn't have to help me with this as well. I know it sounds stupid but it is what it is.
I held the walls of the studio and walked ahead to reach the exit. I tried to keep my foot away from the floor as much as possible because any contact as such was hurting a lot.
After what felt like an eternity, I came out limping and jumping like a fool and noticed a figure standing outside the gate.
yeah it was him. And he was smiling. A smile so wide I wonder if his teeth weren't hurting.
I lowered my foot to the ground and tried walking normally because I didn't want him to notice. But the point was that, there was no use of hiding it. Shantanu would sense even the slightest of discomfort I would go through.
I walked towards the gate with hopes of not getting scolded much.
But who was I kidding, of course he would boil my ears with this so called words of wisdom until we reach home. And to be honest, maybe I need it. I need it just to confirm that he still hasn't forgotten about me. I was now exactly behind him and was gathering up courage to call him because no matter how good it feels to know that he cares about me, his words still roast my brain and burn it.
I gulped the knot formed in my throat and slowly proceeded to tap on his shoulder to let him know about my presence. He turned around to look at me and the smile he had on his face was both making me happy and hurting me at the same time.
happy because I love seeing him smile.
hurt because I wasn't the reason behind his smile.
He engulfed me in a tight hug leading my body to lean back and I was about to lose my balance and fall back again but Kabir was fast enough to hold me before falling. The intensity of the hug was telling me how happy and excited he was.
And I did what I always do. I smiled.
SHANTANU: mansi mansi panda!! I can't tell you how happy I am! I have so much to tell you.
