"Alex, we have a show in 30 minutes are you ready yet?" Joel asked walking into the bedroom I shared with Josh.

"It's a good job I am Oliver Joel Hurley as if I wasn't you would have just walked in on me naked," I said glaring at my drummer.

"Well it wouldn't have been that bad would it?" Joel smirked.

"Oliver piss off and go and bang Tay like your drums," I smiled at my rather confused looking band mate.

"What do you mean?" Joel asked confused. "And don't call me Oliver it makes me feel like 50, when you do that."

"I'll call you by your real name if I wish to and it's pretty obvious that you fancy Tay, the whole band can see it dude. I mean you dragged Dylan to watch their show yesterday. Nick heard you moan her name in your sleep and Patty and I aren't blind. We were talking to her the other day, we turned around and walked back towards you and you were staring at her, like creeper staring not like.... Well there literally is no good way to stare at someone," I explained.

"Psh... me... no. Tay is beautiful admittedly but would you believe me if I told you I was gay for Patty?" Joel stuttered. DENIAL!

"Joel, literally anyone would go gay for Patty, I would go gay for Patty if I was of the male species," I said and placed my mascara down on the table.

"Ok fine, I do fancy her, but she wouldn't go for someone like me, she could have anyone and I'm pretty sure she's going on a date with Jack Barakat," Joel said looking depressed. He sat down on the bed and I kneeled in front of him.

"Jo, look at me. Jack Barakat is not someone to worry over he'll never settle down, I pretty certain that Tay will realise this she's not an idiot. And it's just a date, it might not go any further. And stop thinking so low of yourself any girl would be lucky to go out with you. You're one of the kindest guys I know and are a great friend. Even if the date goes well, they'll be someone better around the corner. If it does she wasn't worth it. You deserve someone better," I said.

Joel smiled and hugged me. "Thanks Alex, you're the nearest thing to an older sister I have and I don't know what I'd do without you. You're really good at giving advice by the way."

"I'm a mum, I have to be," I said and hugged him. He smiled.

"Come on, we have a show to do," I said. I extended my hand and Joel put his hand in mine.

"Smile, you have nothing to worry about," I reassured him. With that said we walked off the bus with our heads held high.

We got to the stage with 10 minutes to spare.

"Hey Alex, we've been looking everywhere for you, I can't perform the song today," Chris Motionless said slightly out of breath.

"That's a shame dude, why?" I asked.

"Brian Stars interview," Chris answered.

"Oh right, no problem. I'll run to Architects bus to get Sam to do the screaming for us," I said.

"You know Alex I could do it if you like, I honestly don't mind. It's only one song and it won't mess my vocal chords up that much," Oli said coming to stand next to Josh, who was carrying Cass.

"Oli, I will not be held responsible if your vocal chords are messed up, no way," I said.

"Alex is right love, you were complaining with a bad throat this morning, it'll only get worse if you push it too much," Hannah worried, hugging her husband to her.

"Sorry Alex, boss has spoken," Oli said holding his hands up in mock surrender.

"I'll go get Sam," I said and ran off towards Architects bus.
