Chapter 20: Stand Up Life Is Too Damn Short

I woke up pressed against someone's chest. No tattoos. My wonderful Josh. I smiled and snuggled closer against him. His arms held on to my waist tighter than what they had been. I looked up to see Josh smiling at me.

"Hello there," He said as he lent down to kiss my forehead.

"Hi," I whispered. "Did you sleep well?"

"I did as a matter of fact, I have a beautiful girl in my arms and she's the love of my life, so yeah I slept pretty well. You?" He asked.

"Yeah, I did," I smiled back at him. I leant up and kissed his lips and lay beside him.

"JOSHUA GET UP TIME, BREAKFAST," Max yelled through the door. He was very hyper this morning. Josh groaned before yelling back, "OK THANKS MAX." I laughed before we heard his feet patter away down the corridor.

"I need a shower," Josh said.

"Me too," I said.

"Together?" He asked.

"Ok," I nodded and kissed him before getting up from the bed and grabbing my shower gel and towel from my bag. Josh imitated what I did by getting his things from his bag. We walked into the bathroom stripped of the minimal clothing we were wearing and got in the shower.

We got out and dressed. There was a knock at the door. I looked at Josh who shrugged. I opened the door to be met with Sean, Patty and Ryan.

"We heard about you and Jacky. Are you ok? Are you two back together?" Patty asked.

"Yeah I'm fine and erm..." I stalled not sure whether Josh was prepared to tell everyone we were together yet or to wait a while.

"Yeah we're back together," Josh answered. He smiled and kissed my temple and placed his arms around my waist.

Sean smiled. "It was only a matter of time before it happened," He said. Ryan nodded.

"We have a problem though. Since you and Jacky broke up, what are you guys doing about buses and sharing, you two were sharing the bedroom on our shared bus," Ryan said. Crap, didn't think that through. There's not a spare bunk which was kind of a problem and I think it would be a bit odd sharing a bed with my ex-husband.

"I'll sleep in the upper back lounge if I need to, or I'll sleep on the sofa," I said.

"No you can't do that, you need a bunk, we're only like 3 days into tour and we have just under 2 months left, you can't sleep on a sofa for 2 months," Sean said.

"I have my own room on our bus, Alex can stay with us," Josh said.

"I couldn't do that," I said shaking my head.

"Alex you're my girlfriend and the mother of my child you can share with me," Josh said. I looked at my band mate, manager and ex-husbands best friend. They all nodded.

"Ok I'll come stay with you guys," I said.

"We are going to try to find other people to stay with, because it's probably going to be awkward between the two bands if we stay with FIR," Patty explained.

"Don't be stupid, you're fine with us," Ryan said smiling.

"I'm sorry guys," I said and sat down. Patty and Ryan hugged me. Sean and Josh soon joined in too.

"Hey the heart wants what it wants and Jacky saw that even though you two were great together and loved each other very much, Josh was the one for you," Ryan said. We all looked at him.

"When did you get smart?" Sean asked him.

"Oh I didn't that came from Becky and partially myself," Ryan said.
