Matt Barnes’ P.O.V
I couldn’t believe it she was finally going to let Josh meet his little girl. As we headed outside I could see Cass’ blonde curls that she inherited from Alex, when she was born, swinging from side to side as she walked.
“Do you think this is a good idea?” Alex asked her brother. Although Matt didn’t agree with Alex and Josh back then he was a decent man, but with great advice.
“Honestly, I think you’re doing the right thing. Josh needed to find out sooner or later before someone let slip accidently. It just so happened that it came out now. Alex, I don’t say this often enough, but I love you baby sis, and I’ve got your back. I know that my actions towards yourself and Josh weren’t the best and I didn’t blame you for not wanting to speak to me, but I couldn’t be prouder of you,” Matt Nicholls said pulling his little sister to his side, placing a kiss on her temple.
“I love you too Matt, and although I have a lot of people who give me good advice, you are one of the only people beside, Sam and Sean, maybe Dan and Matt Barnes, that I listen too. Thanks for being a great big brother,” Alex replied placing one arm around her brothers waist.
Alex’s P.O.V
“Mummy, is it that man you said was my Daddy, that wants to meet me?” Cass asked with hope flickering in her eyes that were identical to Josh’s blue orbs that could easily captivate me in an intense stare for hours.
“Yes darling, it is,” I said as we reached the Surrey born man sat on the bench where I last left him.
“Josh Franceschi, meet Cassadee Tyra Nicholls, your daughter. Cassadee Tyra Nicholls, meet Josh, your Daddy,” I said crouching down beside my little girl who perched herself onto my knee.
“Hello Cassadee, what a pretty name for a pretty girl,” Josh said leaning forward smiling.
“Hello erm….. Mummy what should I call him?” Cass asked looking scared. I looked at Josh, for I didn’t know myself.
“What do you want to call me Cassadee?” Josh asked the curious little girl.
“Erm…… am I allowed to call you Daddy?” She asked looking between the pair of us.
We both nodded.
“Hello Daddy,” Cass said. Just by that one word – Daddy – Josh’s eyes light up and whatever problem or hurt he was hiding behind those eyes had vanished leaving behind love and care for the little girl I had hidden from him for 4 years. Josh smiled genuinely.
I felt the presence of Sam behind me before the gang of protectors (Mikey, Sam Douglas, Matt Kean, Matt Barnes, my brother, Jono, Joe, Sean and Dan) as I refer to them as and Sam himself head back inside to the warmth of the hotel.
“So Cassadee, what’s your favourite colour?”
“Blue exactly like Mummy, what’s yours?”
“Oh I like red. What about food?”
“Chicken nuggets, just like Mummy. What about you?”
“I like food in general. What about music, are you a 1D fan?”
“No way they’re rubbish. All Time Low are my favourite-est band on the entire planet, oh and Fall Out Boy.”
“All Time Low and Fall Out Boy, good choice. Guess what?”
“What Daddy?”
“I know the guys in All Time Low.”
“REALLY NO WAY” Cass said smiling widely at Josh.
