Chapter 26: If You Came Home, You Already Know, That I Would Be Waiting

"Ok then so, Alex, Jenna and Lauren let's see," Max said. Matt, Josh and Nick all looked tense.

"Not me."

"I'm pregnant."

"Me too."

"You're pregnant?" Nick asked Jenna.

"It seems so," Jenna nodded.

"I'm going to be a dad, I'm not ready," Nick rubbed his face before sitting down with his face in his hands.

"Neither am I but we can get through this. As long as you're by my side and I'm by yours, we can do this," Jenna tried to reason with him.

"I need time. Jenna, I'm sorry," Nick said before getting up and running off to God knows where. Jenna's shoulders shook as she began to sob. I put my hand in hers and rubbed her knuckles in an attempt to let her know that she at least had me. Josh smiled and walked up to me.

"So we are going to have another baby. Cass is going to be a big sister. Baby I love you," Josh said smiling lifting me up twirling me around before kissing me.

"Yeah we are and I love you too, but I'm going to stay with Jenna until Nick finds some sense and comes back. He was man enough to make the baby, he will man up and help Jenna bring the child into the world. You've seen him with kids. He's great. He will come back." I said to Josh and everyone who was listening.

"Thanks Alex you don't need to help me," Jenna said.

"Hey, what are friends for?" I asked. Jenna smiled back at me and hugged me.

"God, ok we know Nick will come back but how do I tell my overprotective bandmates?" Jenna laughed.

"Cam's going to kill Nick. Actually make that your whole band is going to kill him," I said. Everyone laughed.

"Ok pregnant ladies, let's get you back to a bus to rest," Josh said holding his elbows out for both me and Jenna to take a hold of. Jenna rolled her eyes then linked her arm with my boyfriend.

"I'm not that pregnant yet Jo-" I started but was cut off by a very well-known voice. The voice of the man I used to wake up to every morning. My ex-husband. Jacky.

"You're pregnant?" He asked, the upset evident in his voice.

"Jacky I-" I started.

"Save it, congratulations," He said quietly, before walking away.

"It's going to be alright Alex," Sam said rubbing the top of my arm.

"I hope so," I answered.

"Can we just go, I have to tell the guys before they find out from someone else?" Jenna asked. Josh, Sam and I nodded and headed off in the direction of the Tonight Alive bus.

We walked straight onto the bus which was in complete darkness. Jenna switched on the light to be face with the angry faces of her band mates. Matt, Cameron, Whakaio and Jake were stood up arms folded facing us.

"Hey guys," Jenna said.

"Hey? HEY? Jenna you've been missing hours. Where have you been?" Cam asked angrily. I knew he was finding it hard to be mean, because he cared about her a lot. Although all the band was close. Cam was like Jenna's version of Matt. Her overprotective brother. The rest of the guys still had the same blank expression on their faces. Although they were faltering their tough guy act because they were finding hard to keep a straight face.

"Ok, I can't keep this up," Whakaio said laughing. The rest of the guys joined in too, even Cam.

"So where have you been little one," Jake asked taking a seat.

"Hey is it true that Max Helyer bought 3 bags of pregnancy tests?" Whakaio laughed. Jenna paled.

"Yeah he did, the weirdo," Jake said.

"Wait you were there?" Jenna asked quietly.

"No but I saw him carrying the bags and asked him what was in the bags and he told me. I'm sure the little dude is on drugs," Jake answered.

"No he had a dream of someone dying, which means that someone is going to get pregnant," I said. The guys nodded in interest.

"So is anyone pregnant?" Matt asked.

"Well er.... No," I answered.

"Two people are pregnant," Sam said from my right.

"Two. Who?" Whakaio asked from his seat beside Jake.

"Well, I'm one of the pregnant ladies," I answered.

"Congrats guys," Matt said. Josh and I nodded our thanks.

"And guys, erm.........I'm also pregnant," Jenna said.

"WHERE'S NICK?" Cam yelled rising from his seat.

"He ran off I don't know where he is. Cam please don't hurt him," Jenna pleaded, tears rolling from her eyes.

"I can't promise anything Jenna," With that said he stormed out of the bus. I pulled Jenna's shaking frame into my arms and hugged her to me.

"He won't hurt him, I'll follow him," Jake said pulling on his shoes and following Cam out of the door.

We all took seats on the sofas, Jenna still sobbing silently onto my shoulder. Josh sat on her other side rubbing her arm comforting her and Sam Carter, took a seat next to me and reached an arm around me and rubbed Jenna's knee.

"Alex," Jenna sniffed.

"Yeah?" I questioned.

"I meant what I said earlier, I want you to be my baby's Godmother," She replied.

"I meant what I said earlier too, I'd be honoured," I smiled at her, she smiled back and looked a lot calmer than she did earlier. Nick might not be prepared to be there to support her or a baby, but I wasn't going to let her down.

"Can I be Godfather?" Whakaio asked out of the blue.

"We'll see, but Josh?" Jenna turned to my boyfriend.

He nodded for her to go on.

"I want you to be the baby's Godfather alongside Alex," Jenna explained.

"Wow, thanks. I'd be honoured," Josh answered.

"WAIT WAIT WAIT, YOU'RE CHOOSING HIM OVER ME, I COULD UNDERSTAND THE ONE OF THE OTHER MEMBERS OF OUR BAND JENNA, ACTUALLY I COULDN'T, BUT HIM?" Whakaio yelled in mock frustration.

"There's still time," Jenna laughed. Whakaio may be a strange dude but at least he made Jenna smile and the atmosphere lift.

There was a loud bang from outside of the bus, and a lot of shouting. Sam pulled me to him and Josh pulled Jenna to him. Whakaio and Matt jumped up as the door opened and Cameron walked back in. His knuckles red with blood, and scratches down his arms. His eye red.

"What happened to you?" Matt Best asked.

"GET IN HERE," He yelled back to whoever was at the door. Whoever it was wasn't coming in anytime soon. Cam turned around and dragged a body into the bus. Nick. A bloody and bruised Nick. The noise that came from Jenna was inhuman. My heart wept for her. Josh kept his arms around her to keep her from falling.

"Jenna, love, I'm sorry. I- I love you," Nick croaked, before passing out.

Author's Note: DRAMA. Did Cameron really hurt Nick? Is Nick going to be alright? Will Max sleep easy?

How will Josh and Alex's bands take the pregnancy (with the exception of Nick, who has his own baby and now his life to worry about)? Stay tuned.
