3 | Saudade LoreI don't know what the fuck this question numbering system is supposed to be but please bear with me. I chose 16k because it's the age I'm turning next year, and it's the 50th chapter! Age lore bomb. If you don't like that then just pretend I never said it [shrug]. Thanks for the milestones guys <3 I'll do something else for 20k.
1.1) Is there anything that inspired you into writing Saudade and Redamancy? + How did you join the fandom?
Of course I do! Although Kai and Onyxx haven't directly influenced any plot point of my stories because they are vastly dissimilar from their own, the idea of writing a CH book itself brought itself into my head when I was reading WWMS & RR. I hope one day Saudade can find a reader base like theirs too <3 (And Redamancy, but can you tell I'm biased?) They're also pretty much the reasons why I'm here in the first place.
1.2) How long have you been in the fandom?
Pretty much how long I've been writing: less than a year, maybe 8-9 months?
1.3) How do you come up with names for your stories and chapters?
As for stories, it's pretty straightforward — I go on Pinterest and find a word that relates to the plot of the story. By definition Saudade means a 'nostalgic longing for something lost or gone', which is applicable to so many things — especially the Representatives' rather solemn wish for the simple Neo that they loved before, now permanently gone. Redamancy means 'to love someone as fervently in return', which is a reflection of both FrUk's love to begin the tradition of prom and... something else. Hint: check the tags. Supercut is a 'montage of short clips', based off Lorde's song, and oneshots are essentially short stories in a collection.
Title names are different. Sometimes, they're based off songs — e.g. chapter 36 is titled "Tokyo Driftin" for the Representatives' first visit to Japan that turns out more leisurely than they think. One of my favorites, The Art of Alliances," is a nod to how beautiful and ruthless alliances can be, similar to other forms of art like music and drama. I have no set method of making title names, just let your imagination flow! <3 Lyrics do help a lot though.
1.4) How do you make your description/writing so fancy? + When did you first start writing?
Practice practice practice! Fun fact about myself, I've been on Wattpad for a fairly long time on a different account (which is actually pretty big of one), writing for different fandoms. From the beginning of around 2021, I was self-teaching myself creative writing, so that's probably why I have more experience.
If this is a question asking for tips, then: synonyms are your best friend. Utilize them as much as possible to make your writing more specific — and for the love of god, grammar is the most important thing of all. Simple stories with perfect grammar is much more likely to be read than a detailed story with the worst grammar you've seen. Also, writing doesn't always flow like to want it to. Get yourself in the mood first, with some music and a poetry Pinterest board.
1.5) How do you stay motivated to write?
It's mostly because I get inspired from listening to music, which I am a huge fan of (especially the pop females), and once you begin crafting a plot you tend to realize that so many songs relate to your story. Lyrics with super flowery prose tend to be the best.
But also everyone's comments/messages are a massive motivational factor <3 It's so fun reading through everything every time a new chapter is uploaded — I just power through the uploads and whoever is seeking inspiration should too, because eventually people will find your content and send you love!
