The Morning.
I woke up quite early, getting out of bed and throwing on my coat and shoes almost immediately. The encounter I had with 'The Watcher' was still in my mind, everything that he had said replaying like a cassette constantly turned back.
Two individuals have had their fates intertwine and twist together... And most important of all, that woman 'Neola' is the individual who is involved in this whole thing.
I suppose it isn't too surprising in a sense, considering that when I met her both times, I could see two souls inside her body — not one. That second soul must be the other individual, whose fate has now been mushed together with Neolas.
But — How?
From what I've understood, more than one soul cannot exist in the same body at any point, unless special conditions are met — such as my Essence Vow or Soul Pacts with the others who had spent time inside of my body.[ Correction, Iyka had not made a soul pact with you. She was a victim of your [Devourer] skill. ]
Okay, yeah that's true — But it still technically counts, considering that after she left my body, she was already in a soul pact with me.
I scratched my chin, walking up to the window and looking out at the city beyond it. The early morning sun was gently throwing its rays onto the city, making for a very mesmerising and beautiful scene — one that would usually make me feel calm and relaxed. However, at this time, all it did is make me more nervous.
"The Watcher warned me about the disastrous event that could take place as well as told me about the individual involved in it... Perhaps I should look for Miss Neola?"
[ That is the best choice to make at this hour. However, do be warned that if you plan to do anything in relation to her soul, you run the risk of potentially permanently damaging Miss Neolas soul. ]
"I know, I know — Tampering with souls is a dangerous game."
I exhaled heavily, sliding my hands into my coats pockets. As I stood there silently, simply lost in my thought, I pulled out the book that the Watcher had given to me from my pocket.
Looking down at it, I just narrowed my eyes, staring at it. This entire book contained my entire journey through this world, and potentially even, my previous life. It was a testimony to my accomplishments and trials that I have faced.
Soon, curiosity got the better of me and I opened the book at its first page, beginning to read through its contents. And just as I had assumed, it didn't just have my entire journey and life in this world, but in fact, contained the entirety of my previous life as well.
Albeit, it was a bit strange that it had information from my previous life, considering that it was a completely different world — however at the same time, the Watcher has told me that he exists and lives outside of time itself, so perhaps it makes a little bit of sense that the books containing fates could connect to my previous lifes world.
Reading through the book and flipping through its pages, I constantly came across all sorts of different coloured text, as well as relived memories from a long, long time ago.
I won't lie — Rereading all those events that I have been through, put a small smile on my face.
It reminded me just how much has happened in such a little amount of time. Barely nine or ten months have passed since my awakening in this world — and yet, it feels like I've gone through events that have happened over the course of several years.
