! OUTER BANKS ! (season 1, episode 1) part three
HER CHEEKS WERE STAINED WITH TEAR STREAKS. Lynni laid in her bed, staring at the ceiling while 'Night Changes' by One Direction played quietly from her phone's speaker. All night, since Lynni had got home, Rafe had been texting and calling her like crazy, but she didn't respond. If she did—she'd hate herself. She was staring at all of his texts he'd sent through her notifications.
JJ was really regretting yelling at Lynni, especially after she had said he was the reason Rafe had pinned her against the wall in the first place. His plan was to stay at John B's like every other night, and he currently sat on the couch with his hands knotted in his hair. He wanted to talk to Lynni, but he didn't know if now was the best time to do that but he still got off the couch and slipped on his flip-flops and started the jaunt to the Keating's house.
It had been a while since JJ had left the Chateau, but he finally reached Lynni's house. He had knocked on the front door and Paris had opened the door.
"Who are you?" The fifteen-year-old girl asked.
"I- I'm JJ. I'm a friend of Lynni's."
Paris squinted her eyes at the boy in front of her, staring at him for a bit, which made him grow noticeably anxious. Paris then shrugged and welcomed JJ in the house. "Okay."
"Thank you," JJ replied and walked in.
"Her bedroom is the very last door on the left once you head up the stairs." Paris pointed up the stairs in the direction of Lynni's room before she went back to the kitchen where she had been making popcorn.
He nodded, turned in the direction of the stairs, and started walking up the stairs to Lynni's room. JJ stopped just outside the door and brought his hand up to knock.
"Who is it?" Lynni asked as she whipped away her tears.
"JJ." He replied, standing outside her door.
Lynni's expression turned from sadness to a mixture of anger and confusion. Anger because of everything that happened at the boneyard and confusion because JJ Maybank was in her house. She didn't know he knew where she lived, he'd never been to her house before. "Go away!" She demanded while she grabbed her phone and paused her music. JJ didn't hesitate as he opened the door. "Are you deaf? I said go away." Lynni looked up with wide eyes.
