THE FOLLOWING MORNING WAS LIKE NO other. Except, instead of waking up in her own bed, Lynnianna woke up on the couch at the Chateau. It was odd, but after everything that had happened last night, she didn't care. The Chat was becoming like a home away from home to Lynni.
The girl, after going home and showering and putting on fresh clothes, was currently standing in Heyward's grocery shop with Kiara, JJ, and Pope. As Kiara ran the register, Pope was helping some customers at the window while JJ kind of just stood around and Lynni was helping stock shelves.
As she adjusted some items on one of the shelves, JJ spoke. "Don't let it get in your head, bro. There's three of them and two of us. That's some typical Kook shit right there."
"Hell, yeah." Kie stated as she handed a customer his change.
Pope walked back to the others and stood next to Kiara at the register as JJ sat on a stool not too far way from them. Lynni had finished stocking the shelves and stood across from Kie and Pope.
"What was your thought process with using your head?" JJ asked, talking about last night when Pope head-butted Topper.
Lynni let out a light snicker, "He wasn't thinking." She joked.
"I don't know man. I just kind of acted off instinct." Pope informed as he fidgeted with a small item on one of the counters.
"Yeah." Kiara said.
"I was a cornered animal." Pope continued.
"A cornered animal?" Lynni repeated with a joking manner. "That's fun—" Lynni started to speak before she was interrupted by Heyward's voice.
"Hey, Pope," Pope's father said as he walked into the shop. "There's someone here to see you." He informed as he pointed behind him.
That's when Deputy Shoupe walked around the corner. Lynni's eyes widened but slightly. You couldn't tell unless you looked at her. Kiara turned to Lynni in a panic and JJ just stared.
"Evening, Officer." Pope stuttered, clearly freaking out.
JJ stood off the stool and moved to stand behind Pope as Kiara and Lynni shared a nervous glance.
