I would be lying if I said I was not taken aback by her unexpected outburst. Everything she said to me gave me chills.
My heart broke a thousand times as I watched the girl I loved so much cry. I was the cause of her pain. I made her cry.
She had obviously kept all of this inside for far too long. Halimah found it extremely difficult to express herself.I slowly walked over to where she sat and tried to pull her into my arms, but she moved away from me.
"Stop crying. I dont like it when you cry." I said.
She does not bulge; instead, she moves away from me.
"Is it Chiamaka that's the problem? I would avoid her." I said, trying to touch her, she flinched.
"Stop pushing me away." I said. Our relationship was very complicated. The misunderstandings between us had become too much. The truth remained we could only be a secret, especially now.
All of this she was saying could not happen; we could not do things that other people dating did. Regardless of our beliefs, everyone else saw us as siblings.
I had changed for the better, and I had been completely loyal to her. I was madly in love with her. I knew I was not a good person, but I tried to improve.
"Hali." I called out, moving close to her, she shifted again.
"Dont hit your head there because you are running from me." I said to her. Because of the way she was moving away from me, there was a high risk of her hitting her head on her bed frame.
Based on the appearance of things, she had decided not to speak with me. I tried to touch her, but she pushed my hand away.
"Halimah," I called out, she doesn't respond. I slowly stood up, cast a quick glance at her again, and walked away.
With time, she was definitely going to cool off, or who knows? Because her attitude of recent was different.

While listening to music, it is safe to say that my entire attention was diverted; I was not even feeling the vibes; my thoughts were focused on Halimah. I had been unable to get our fight out of my mind.
Since my bed was facing the door, I saw something odd at my door as soon as I opened my eyes.
I squinted my eyes, because I was definitely not seeing things. I could see someone's eyes, slowly the head came to light. Halimah poked her head inside.
She was the one peeking.
"Jesus! What are you doing there?" I inquired, as she slowly opened the door, revealing her entire body.
