I was beyond stunned to see her in my house by this time, especially after she sent me a message few days ago, expressing her displeasure and the fact she came over and I completely ignored her, which wasn't the case. If only she knew what I was dealing with back then.

"I am not surprised, you know. You always treat me like shit. You couldn't even call me, common courtesy.” She complained, staring at me.

Meanwhile, I tried to break eye contact because I was uncomfortable with the situation.

"I can see that my replacement is still here." She elaborated.

"Belema." I called out calmly, unsure what I wanted to say. These sort of entanglement was what I didn't want. These kinds of explanation was what I wasn't ready for.

She agreed to no strings attached, but the emotions was just over the place.

“You think I have no idea of what happened that day? You couldn't even reach out to me, shows the level of no regards.” She paused and gave me a stern look. "I promised myself I would not talk to you again, but it just occurred to me that it is best I say it in your face." She spoke.

“Belema, please calm down.” I said it in the calmest way possible. She was yelling, and it was already late. The last thing I wanted was to attract the attention of my noisy neighbours.
They thrived on gossip and people's misfortunes.

“Why should I calm down? It's obvious you used me.” She said now pointing a finger at me.

“No, no. You don't get to put it that way.” I defended. "Belema, I never misled you; I told you straight up that I was not interested in committing. You agreed we do the friends with benefits thingy.” I defended.

Belema on the other hand wasn't having it. She looked so mad. Her usual radiant smile had vanished, and I was clearly to blame. Not proud of that. She was not a problematic person, it was clear I did hurt her so much.

"If you knew you would not put your mind and soul into it, why give me hope?" She demanded. "You used me."

“Belema, don't bullshit me. Stop with the guilt trip. I fucking told you from the start.” I defended. "You said, we will see how it goes."

“I thought, I thou...,” She stammered. “I heard everything the other day, I left because it was too humiliating been in that situation, with your sisters. To think you never even called me back, even after I sent you that text, how cruel.”
