Fredaonyi04 and callherteeNormally it used to be two pov, but I couldn't help, this one would have three. I think it would be the last time I would incorporate such.

CHIZI as she preferred to be called was just like every other girl I had met, easygoing, fun, cheerful.
I noticed she was outspoken, and wasn't the type to hide behind the shadows, especially when it had to do with what she strongly believed in.She was dark-skinned, tall, and a little bit chubby. She had that mean girl look, but beneath it, was a sweet girl. The one thing, I noticed but wasn't comfortable with, was how serious she could get with her opinions.
We all had opinions, but forcing yours on me, wasn't something I appreciated. You are free to say what you feel, but not force it down my throat.
She had this strong willpower, my opinion about her was feminism.
The way she spoke, and the topics, revolved around gender equality. Women right, and so on."Excuse you! When you talk about prostitution. Why do you picture just women? That's bullshit." Came Chizi's high-pitched voice. I had successfully removed myself from the conversation. The next pressing issue was to finally disappear into thin air, without being noticed.
I had no issue about gender equality, but some people just project it like a war or something. The last time I had this conversation. Brea, my ex ghosted me for a while.
I had this bad habit of meaning well, but escalating the whole issue, with just one statement.
"Chizi, that's not the topic, you made it seem like those of us who believe we should honour our husbands and respect them are just fools." Came Jamilah's voice.
"I never said that." Chizi deapeand. "Roman."
No, no!
Dont look at me.
"You did. Honestly, you did. When you made a statement about Hausa women..., "
"No, no! Jami, that isn't what I meant. I only said I get where you are coming from and all that. Being part of your tribe..., "
"No, you tag us as fools. Look being submissive to our husbands doesn't make us fools. I don't tamper on your beliefs, so don't do the same to mine." Jamila said. I could hear the rage in her voice.
"No, Jamilah. You are totally misunderstanding me. I was about the prostitution thing, you hinted. Women who sleep around for money are tagged prostitutes, what about men who do the same?"
"I dropped that. We are talking about the fact you think we Muslim women are enslaved." Jamilah spoke loudly.
This was getting heated. I needed to sneak away. Trust me when I said, I never knew how to handle violence, without adding fuel to it.
