Becky's pov"Good morning, Ma'am Becky !"
"Good morning." I greeted the guard who greeted me before glancing at the elegant and tall building in front of me.
This is one of the company Dad founded here in Davao City and I am here today to visit Victoria to say goodbye because I am going back to Thailand. She decided to stay here for good and start all over again. She requested that she only manage the chocolate factory because she only feels more lonely when she stays in Thailand.
It's been a month since my best friend's birthday celebration and although I wanted to go home with freen to Thailand , I couldn't because there was an emergency at work and Vic needed my help.
I've stayed here in Davao for a month and since everything is settled, I can go back because I really miss my girlfriend.
"Good morning, Ma'am." greeted the employees I met.
I smiled at them and made my way to the elevator. I quickly entered when it opened and pressed the 24th floor.
When I reached the designated hallway, I immediately went out and walked towards Victoria's office. But before I could even enter, I spotted a familiar woman sitting in the waiting area, holding a folder.
Wait! Is that...
I slowly walked towards her and I noticed her fidgeting her fingers. She's nervous...
And because she was hunched over, she still didn't notice that I was already beside her, so I decided to speak.
"Becky?"
Yeah, you heard it right. She's a Becky too. We have the same second name. This is Miss Freen's student assistant at her clinic at our old University. Is this Rebecca?
She was even more surprised and almost jumped out of her seat when she looked up at me. Surprise registered on her face and after a while she stared at my face in surprise. "Rebecca right?"
I smiled and sat beside her. "Long time no see, Becky. What are you doing here in Davao? What are you doing here?"
I noticed her gulped before she looked at me. "Just wait, sister. I was going to apply. I got a call from Armstrong Sweets and I have an interview today."
I nodded at this. "Okay, Akira. Are you the only one here?"
She shook her head no. "I...I'm with someone, Hm. Uhm...si--"
"Miss Armstrong ?"
We both turned around when someone called me and Vic's pregnant secretary was the one who looked at me when I turned around. She was smiling as she approached me and when she looked at the person next to me, I followed her.
I noticed Akira's shocked face while looking at me so I frowned.
"Why?" I asked curiously.
She shook her head. "Sister, are you dead? That means..." she paused. And I got what she meant, so I smiled.
"I'm the owner, Akira."
I bit my lower lip to suppress my laugh when her mouth went agape. She was clearly shocked.
"Omg sorry sis- I mean, Ma'am. I don't know." she apologized, making me laugh softly.
"It's okay, Aki. It's okay, sister. Besides, I'm not the one interviewing you, right?" I said, looking at Vic's secretary who also nodded at me.
"If you don't mind, Ma'am. Miss Victoria will call you." She interjected and then smiled.
"How about...good luck later, Aki. I'll go first and then I'll go back to Thailand," I said goodbye.
