"What happened to her, Miss mallison?" I heard Charlie shout from not far away.

After a while, I felt myself landing on the soft bed and the touch of someone's warm palm on my cheek.

"I'm sorry, she fainted--"

"I told you it was a bad idea. Did she fall? Or did she fail?" Charlie's previously shouting voice was now worried.

"No, I caught her before she fell."

I heard Charlie sigh from next to me. "I'm sorry, Miss malluson, but I won't let her go meet that woman again--"

"C-cha." I called with a hoarse voice and slowly opened my eyes.

"Hey, are you okay? What's wrong with you? Are you dizzy?" Charlie asked again with concern in her voice and leaned closer to caress my cheeks. "I told you not to go, right? But you're so stubborn."

I chuckled. I laugh for no apparent reason. I laugh because of feelings I don't understand. And before I could even utter a word, a single tear escaped my eyes.

Then I sobbed pulling Charlie closer to me.

I felt Charlie's arms wrap around my body and her embrace deepened. She was caressing my back and whispering inaudible words in my ear.

"C-cha..." I called with a shaky voice.

"....I-I wish you had woken me up earlier. I-I wish you had forced me to wake up, C-cha. I wish I could have talked to her, right? I-I wish she hadn't found someone else, right? I-I wish it was me, right?" I cried on her chest.

"Ssshhh. It's water under the bridge now, freen. There's nothing we can do, it's already happened." She replied to me and kissed me tenderly on the forehead before sighing again.

"Everything will be alright. I promise. Please, stop crying, it will get to you. Hold on, okay?"

I just cried on her chest until my eyes gradually got tired so I slowly closed them. After a few moments, drowsiness took over my spirit and I fell asleep hugging her.

A sad smile escaped my lips when I saw her sitting inside the restaurant. She looked so happy staring at the love of her life while the other woman, THAT woman in front of her wiped something in her mouth.

I never thought that out of all the people she would love, Miss Roberts would be the one. Why this one?

I looked at their behavior again. They looked so in love. So crazy in love. And here I am sitting inside my car staring at them smiling with each other, holding each other's hands.

I chuckled. I felt like an idiot who had been following them for days wherever they went and would cry when they got hurt. It was just so stupid.

A single tear left my eye when I remembered how her girlfriend proposed to her. I can still remember how surprised and happy she was when her woman proposed and offered her a diamond ring during her birthday party.

In the few days that faye and I have been together, I haven't even had time to talk to her.

I don't plan on chasing her anymore, I don't plan on taking her away from her ex, because from what I can see, she's happy and has moved on fromme. I just wanted a proper closure. I just wanted to say sorry for hurting her. I can't rest until there's a proper conversation between us. I want to give my heart and mind a break from the pain I'm feeling. My whole being is so tired.

Let's go?" I snapped back to the present and glanced at faye who was in the driver's seat when she spoke. This was my companion in the past few days when I wanted to see Patricia.
