A dark, damp room with minimal light filtering through a single overhead bulb. Chains clink as Kane struggles to free himself. His breathing is heavy, sweat dripping from his forehead.

Kane: (gritting his teeth, muttering to himself) D...Damn it... where am I?

He tugs at the ropes binding his wrists to the chair, his eyes scanning the room. The faint sound of another person’s movements catches his attention. He freezes, listening intently.

Kane: (whispering) Who’s there?

In the dim light, he catches a glimpse of another figure, tied and slumped in the corner. As his eyes adjust, recognition dawns on him.

Kane: (shocked, hissing) Victor?!

Victor: (lifting his head slowly, his face pale and eyes wide) Kane? What the hell... what are you doing here? (Looks around) Wh...Where are we??

Kane: (ignoring the question, muttering) This... this has to be him. It’s Alexander.

Victor’s face turns ashen. His breathing quickens, and he starts to shake uncontrollably.

Victor: (stammering) No... no, no, no. This can’t be happening. He’ll kill us. Kane, he’s going to kill us!

Kane: (snapping) Will you shut up, Victor? Crying isn’t going to save you.

Victor starts sobbing, his words incoherent. Kane groans in frustration, tugging harder at his bindings.

Victor: (pleading) Why did you drag me into this? I just wanted... I just wanted to get back at the company for firing me. I didn’t know it would go this far!

Kane: (hissing) Stop whining and think! We need a way out of this mess.

Suddenly, heavy footsteps echo down a hallway. The sound grows louder, and the room falls into a tense silence. The door creaks open, Mason standing tall and imposing, his expression cold and unforgiving.

Mason: (staring at them) So... Kane. How dare you betray the Derlyn Group?

He strides over and delivers a sharp slap to Kane’s face. The sound reverberates in the room. Victor flinches, trembling in his chair.

Victor: (crying) Please... I didn’t mean to,

Mason: (cutting him off, slapping him) And you, Victor? You got fired, and this is how you repay us? Selling out for revenge and a few scraps of money?

Victor: (sobbing) I was angry! I wasn’t thinking straight! I didn’t know who was behind it all, I swear!

Mason: Let's try this again. Who attacked Alexander? Who tried to frame you both?

Victor: (Panicked) I don't know! I don't know anything!

Mason slaps Victor with the same force. Victor yelps in pain.

Mason: (Roaring) I want answers! And I want them now!

Both men fell silent, a cunning smile playing on Kane's lips, a silent taunt directed at Mason.

Mason: Tick-tock, bastards. Time is running out. And I'm a very patient man. But my patience has its limits.

He pauses, his eyes gleaming.

Mason: Look, I know you're playing games. But this isn't a joke. Someone tried to kill Alexander. And I won't stop until I find out who.

Kane: (Chuckling) Oh, the drama! The suspense! You think I know something? Me? The lowly accomplice?

Mason: (Leaning closer) Don't play dumb with me, Kane. I know you're smarter than you let on. You know more than you're saying.

Kane: (Scoffs) Smart? I'm just a pawn in someone else's game. A tragic victim of circumstance.

Mason: (Skeptical) Victim? You were laughing when I came in. You seem to be enjoying this a little too much.

Kane: (Grinning)
Life's too short to be serious all the time, Mason. Besides, watching you squirm is highly entertaining.

Mason: (Frustrated) Bastard, Tell me who did this? Otherwise you will never see sunrise again!!

Mason stares at him for a moment, then glances toward the door. The sound of deliberate footsteps approaches, slow and measured. A suffocating tension fills the air as Alexander steps into the room.

Alex’s presence is overpowering. His sharp suit contrasts with the ruthless aura surrounding him. His face is unreadable, but his eyes burn with an intensity that freezes both Kane and Victor in their seats.

Victor: (whimpering, barely audible) A....A...Alex...

Alex doesn’t say a word, his gaze shifting between the two men. He steps forward, his polished shoes echoing in the silent room. A shiver ran down Kane's spine. His bravado falters as Alex’s icy stare lands on him.

Kane: (forcing a smirk) You think you’ve won, Alexander? You’ll never find out who’s really behind this. Never.

Alex tilts his head slightly, his lips curling into a cold smile. Without a word, he gestures to Mason. Mason nods, and two bouncers step in, their faces expressionless and their fists clenched.

Mason: (calmly) Treat them well. We need them to talk.

The bouncers move forward, their heavy punches landing on both men. Kane grits his teeth, laughing through the pain, while Victor screams in terror.

Victor: (screaming) I don’t know anything else! Please, stop!

Kane: (coughing, through a pained laugh) You poor, misguided soul. You’ll never break me, Alexander. Never. You think you can find out the behind this?

Mason: (Interrupting, Gritting his teeth with anger) Don't underestimate us, Kane.

Kane: (Laughing) Oh, I'm not. I'm simply appreciating the performance. The furrowed brow, the clenched fists… it's quite dramatic.

Mason: (Eyes narrowing)
You think this is funny?

Kane: (Wryly) Tragicomedy, my dear Mason. Tragicomedy.

Mason: (Voice deadly calm)
You'll regret this, Kane. (Shouts) Bouncers treat him well. He should regret every single breath he takes for crossing us!

Alex watches silently, his hands clasped behind his back. His face remains emotionless as the beating continues. After a moment, he raises a hand, and the bouncers step back. Both men are bruised and bloody, barely able to hold their heads up.

Alex: (finally speaking, his voice calm and deadly) You think this is a game, Kane? You think I won’t find the truth?

Kane: (spitting blood, smirking weakly) You’ll never win Alex.

Alex steps closer, crouching in front of Kane. His voice drops to a whisper, cold and menacing.

Alex: (softly) Oh, I always win. And when I do... you’ll wish you were never born.

He stands, adjusting his suit, and turns to Mason.

Alex: (firmly) Make them talk. No matter what it takes.

Mason nods, his expression grim. Alex walks out of the room without looking back, his silhouette disappearing into the darkness.

Kane’s weak laughter echoes in the room, mingling with Victor’s sobs and the bouncers’ heavy footsteps.
