Chapter 2

Emily's POV

After my new sister Alexis cooked breakfast, we all headed outside. Me and Alexis grabbed our bathing suits and we went into the pool. I think Dillon told me that he was going to plan a surprise attack for Alexis already. She doesn't know what we are but we know she is human. My family and I have been wolfs for generations, and each generation is stronger than the other. I was a full fledged wolf like everyone else, except for the humans, vampires, and witches. Alexis snapped me out of my daze when she spoke." So,... are you exited for school Emily." She asked me. " Sure, it's really boring though, except for gym and art, those are my favourite subjects." I told her acting like a kindergarten." So, when are you turning 15 Alexis?" I asked her." My birthday is on August 11." She said sadly." Hey, why are you sad." I asked. She hesitated before going on." Because that's when my parents died." She said." Oh. I'm sorry I asked." I said sadly." Don't be, I have you, Dillon, Lilith and Lyle now as my family." She said with a smile. After she said that Dillon started screaming like Tarzan, he ran to the pool and jumped into the water." DILLON! I'm gonna kill you!" I heard Alexis scream. Dillon got out right away before Alexis did, so he was faster. But Alexis had more agility and stamina then Dillon. She finally chased Dillon down until she finally got him. He was laughing so hard. " Very funny Dillon." She said." Sorry, I'm just trying to cheer you up." He said. She finally smiled and let Dillon up to his feet." Hey Alexis, Emily do you want to want to play football with us." Dillon asked." Sure." Alexis said." Eh... why not." I said with a smile. We all gathered on the field to make the teams." Ok, to make it fair you can have all the girls on your team, so me and dad will be on the different team. Boys vs. Girls." Dillon said with a playful snarl. The boys were good, but they were too good. They were winning by 5 points. The score was 10 for the boys, and 5 for the girls. Me and Alexis made a plan to win the game. After the boys shot the ball I caught it and got as close to the net as I could. I threw the ball to Alexis and she used her stamina and agility to score. We had six points now, so we were catching up to the guys. Alexis wanted to do this one on her own so I let her. She was amazing! her agility and stamina let her zig-zag across the field and she didn't fall. She got a goal for us. Finally, it was me and my moms turn. We used a bit of our wolf speed to do this so we past them now and mom got the goal. We were 8 to 10 now, after the game was done we would go out and get lunch. Alexis wanted to finish the rest of the game by herself for some reason so I let her. I hope she can beat the guys.

Alexis's POV

I asked Emily if I could finish the game, and she said yes. I used my snake agility and barn owl sight to see what was going on. I quickly picked up my pace and I passed Dillon, and I twirled my way around Lyle, and I scored. If I got at least one more goal I would be satisfied. For once I took a couple steps and I threw the ball as hard and as high as I could so it would miss Dillon and Lyle. When it fell it just made it across the line so we got another goal. We were tied now, it was 10 and 10." Wow! I can't believe you just did that Alexis." Dillon and Lyle were amazed about my stamina and agility." Well, I would say it's a tied game so, lets go get some lunch." Lilith said so we all ran into the house and put on new clothes and we headed out the door. We ordered our lunch at subway, so we ate there." So Emily, what are you going to to for the rest of our summer." I asked her. She hesitated to speak." I'm not really sure what I am going to do for the rest of the summer. Maybe on the weekends I will go out to the bar and party and on weekdays I will just stay home with you guys." She told me." Very wise big sis, very wise." I said sarcastically." What!" She asked back." Oh nothing." I answered back." Come on, just tell me." She pleaded." I was just going to be active for the rest of the summer ok! I was going to take walks in the forest, swim in the pool, active stuff, you know." I answered back all mellow. She stopped talking to me before we got in the car. " Why are you so active all of a sudden?" She asked me curiously." Because when I was in the orphanage, they always made us stay inside and never outside. This is my chance now, and I should take it." I said to her. I was so happy that I wasn't in the orphanage anymore. They were so cruel to us. They always gave us slop for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they always made us go to sleep at 8:30, and they would never let us go outside! Like who likes people that don't let them go outside to let them get fresh air. NO ONE!!!!!! I had just had enough of that place, I was there for 10 years, so I had defiantly had enough!" I bet you hated that place." She said, sounding like she didn't want to say that." I did, so much. I just wanted to get out of that place and go back to my parents." I said. '' Do you miss them?" She asked me." A bit, yeah." I told her. Like before we were silent the rest of the way. It took us 10 minutes to get back home.
