Alexis's POV

"This is going to be a long explanation." I murmured to myself. I motioned for Lilith and Lyle to sit down at the table. Dillon came down when he heard the loud crash through the glass door." What the hell happened!?" He asked Lilith." Well sit down and Alexis will explain it!" She said loudly. I hesitated at first but then spoke." Well, it all started when I was four, my parents were taken by the rogue warriors and thankfully, I was gifted along with my brother and 8 others,.....we are called wild shifters, we can shift into any animal in the world once we've learned it." I told them. Emily was nodding her head, Lyle and Lilith were shaking there heads and Dillon just shouted out." Your lying Alexis! I don't believe you." He said with a sneer. To show him the truth it got up on the table and shifted into my king cobra snake form. I could see that Dillon had his mouth hanging, and he looked really embarrassed to talk, Emily was grinning so much that Lilith was looking back at me and Em. " Why are you grinning Emily?" Lyle asked her." Oh, when she got attacked in the woods,....those animals who helped her.... were.... us." I finally said out loud, leaving them with a confused and mad look." Alexis! Why didn't you tell us, we would have...." Lilith stopped there when I cut in." It's because my species is very rare, there are only 10 of us, and those rogue warriors are coming after us." I told them, after that the hole table was silent." But who's that then?" Lyle asked while he pointed at Jake." That, that is my....brother." I had trouble to get the words out once again." He's the German Shepard puppy." I told them. I shifted my position to tell Jake to do so and he did. He shifted on the ground and I picked him up and put him on the table." Now are you convinced!" I asked them in a serious tone. Jake then shifted into his eagle form and landed on my right shoulder." We are here to defeat a great evil, and until we can do that.... we need to find the other 8! We will be stronger that way." I told them. Jake nodded his head in eagle form and then flew off my shoulder and turned back to human form." Lilith, can we please get back to what we were doing, please!" I asked her with my pupils as big as a little circle." Well, where were you going?" She asked with curious eyes." Well,.....since the stores open around 9:15, I decided that we could go shopping for school clothes. PLUS! Jake has no clothes so we need to buy him a couple." I told her.

She hesitated to go on but answered my question." Oh, alright! But come back at 12:00, ok." She said to us smiling." Alright, bye Lilith and Lyle." I told them. Since we never got to go out into the forest, I just told them that we will be going to the stores instead. We headed out the front door when one of the Dillon's pack mates showed up." Hey, uh... Alexis right?" He asked me." Right." I told him back." Do you know where Dillon is, I have to talk to him." He said with a serious face." Uh yeah, he's inside." I told him nervously. He nodded and went inside. We forgot about that and headed to Em's car." Nice ride!" I told her all excited." Yeah, it was my mom's old possession." She told me with a little smile. We got in and drove away. It took us about 15 minutes to get there, and as soon as we got there we parked and headed out of the car. I looked to Jake as he let out a sigh to see that the malls were ssssoooooo big, and we might never find something for him." Don't worry Jake, we will find something for you." I sent in a connection to him. We started walking when I saw a man with a cloak over his head and looked at us." Walk a little bit faster guys!" I sent them." Why! What's wrong?" They asked me with curiosity." There was a man in a black cloak looking at us." I told them in a whisper." Don't be ridiculous Alexis, it's probably just a homeless guy or something." They told me." No! It's not. Haven't you ever heard of a vampire guys." I told them with a lot of hand movements." Don't be serious! Vampires don't come out in the daylight dodo." Jake said sarcastically." Well that was probably why they are wearing a cloak." I said." Do you know what, lets just forget about it ok! We came here to shop, and that's what we're gonna do!" I had a big grin on my face while Emily smiled at me, and Jake just groaned sarcastically. We got in there to see thousands of stores so we went in the first one. Just incase I had my senses on high alert, I could tell that Jake and Em did too. After about an hour or 2, I caught a scent, it was really faint but I caught it. It was a vampire scent! After we went into 7 stores I told Em and Jake to pick up their pace." What's wrong, did you see another "vampire" again!" They asked me with smug expressions on their faces." No! Ok I caught a faint scent of them, and a lot of them too." I told them the didn't believe me at first but then I could smell there scent getting closer.
