Alexis's POV

High school was a blast! I had so much fun for the first day. Plus it's better than being in an orphanage. We did so much. First we had art, which was amazing. I painted on of my animals I drew in my notepad, and everyone oh and ah my work. Isabelle was even in my class too." Oh my god, Alexis! It looks amazing." She said as she ogled my work." Thanks, it's really nothing." I told her." Yeah, it is Alexis, it's a price if art." She told me. I decided not to go too too far with Isabelle so I just kept my mouth shut. We did so much other stuff like gym, science, math, and language. As we were in the car returning home from our first day of school, someone connected with me. I felt another presence being pressed up against mine mentally, not physically. It was there for a minute or so, and then it went away very quickly. It was odd, very odd to me. I brushed those thought right when we got home. I got out of the car and walked very slowly into the house. " slowpoke!" Jake yelled to me." I'm taking my time." I mumbled. Matt was right beside me and had a concerned look on his face." I'm fine." I said, knowing what he would ask me." No your not." He said to me firmly." Yes I am." I told him. After I said that I felt an excruciating pain going through my hole body. "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" I screamed as I fell to the concrete driveway. Matt picked me up bridal style and ran me through the house. It felt like my legs were being torn off was he carried me through the house." No stop!" I screamed as I was carried into my room." Make it stop!!!" I screamed, but it wasn't my actual voice. Matt layed me on the bed and ran downstairs, yelling for Lilith and Lyle to come to me. My legs slightly felt better so I pushed myself to stand up, with all the animal forms I have learned. I managed to stand up as I went to my window. I saw Lyla getting dragged away my a vampire into the forest. Without thinking I tried walking as fast as I could to the door. I used as much force as I could to push myself to go further. As soon as I got out of the door I stumbled to the stairs. I was half way there when Matt, Lilith and Lyle came up the stairs." What are you doing Alexis." Matt yelled. I brushed past him as beaded sweat began to go down my face. " Alexis." Lyle said as he grabbed my hand, I whipped it away and showed my wolf fangs." Get off!" I warned them using a snarl. This wasn't me. Whoever I was linked to was doing this.

" This isn't me." I whispered to them, but I doubt they heard me. As the pain slowly faded away, I got stronger. Even stronger than I was before. I ran down the stairs and almost whipped the screen door off its hinges the get to the forest. I ran as fast as I could to the forest and then leaped into the air. As soon as I landed I transformed into my wolf. I took kind strides through the forest until Lyla and the vampire were in my sight. As soon as my eyes hit the vampire, rage went right through my body. I snarled ferociously and charged at the vampire. He was still dragging Lyla away when I started running. He didn't notice me until it was too late. I sunk my teeth into him right when he looked up. Blood splattered everywhere, on me and Lyla. I sunk my teeth in deeper and deeper until their was no breath in that bastard. He fell to the grassy plains as I looked at him, and ten turned my head to Lyla. She was quivering in fear as I shifted back to human form. I carefully scooped up Lyla so she would be secure in my small, but strong arms.I carried her into the house and as I did he breathing increased a ton! I rushed to my room to put her on the bed. She had very recent blood, stained on he entice white coat, and crusty, old blood too. I quickly scooted to the bathroom and got a couple washcloths. I wet them with cold water and ran back to Lyla." Hey, hey. You ok." I sent to her. She didn't respond at first, but then she said something so surprising." Why did you save me?" She asked me, sounding very weak." Why? Why! I saved you because you are now apart of this family. I saves you because we share a special connection. I saved you because if you died..... I would die to." I told her. She looked so taken aback when I said that to her." What do you mean we share a special connection?" She asked me, confused. I sighed and continued to explain to her." When you were getting dragged away, your legs felt like they were gonna get ripped out, your shoulders felt bruises and you couldn't walk." I told her. She still looked confused so I continued." If something happens to you, that same thing will happen to me." I told her, being more careful how I placed my words. She slowly nodded as I placed the cold washcloth on her wounds. I carefully wiped all the crusty, old blood away, so there would be a nice, white coat of fur." You feeling better?" I asked her." A little." She said, sounding a lot better. I went back to my bathroom, and turned on the cold water to wipe all the blood away from the washcloth.
