Wild Shifters Chapter 11 Finding Isabelle's Mate

Chapter 11

Isabelle's POV

After that little showdown that Alexis had with the she wolf over me, she asked if everyone could take a break. After everyone left one person came to Alexis and started talking to her. I didn't want to be nosey so I just watched. After they talked he winked an went away. I didn't really want to watch if her mate got mad, so I turned away. I knew I walked into pack territory, because I was being chased! Once I turned around, I caught the scent again! It was a vampires scent, and I could smell my mates scent too. I wanted to follow that scent but something haunted me and told me not to. After about 10 or 12 minutes, Alexis came out of the forest. I ran right to her and hugged her." Thank you." I said right away." Your welcome." She said back. I felt like I was gonna panic because of that scent. Alexis could sense my ease so she cut right to the chase." What's wrong." She said firmly." I think my mate is close by." I said, inhaling deeply after I said that to her." Isabelle, that's great! Why would you-," before she could finish I cut her off." Because, every bone in my body is telling me not to. Something is holding me back, do you remember when you saw me in that.... cage?" I asked her. She nodded and I continued." Well,..... I think I have been there longer than I think." I told her." What do you mean?" She asked, a little confused." Well, what I mean is, I think they drugged me so I couldn't remember anything, but I think it's slowly coming back." I told her, hoping she would understand." But why won't you go find your mate?" She asked me again." Because,.... I think he was one if them that put me in the cell." I told her. It pained to say that as a tear rolled down my cheek." Did he want to?" She asked." No. But they forced him to, he looked so sad that he was gonna cry. We both looked broken." I told her as more and more tears spilled out of my eyes. I started sobbing as Alexis hugged me." I'm ok Alexis, it will be alright." I sniffled as I pulled away." Are you sure?" She wondered, only worrying about me." Yes..... i'll be fine." I told her with a small reassuring smile. After that the time was apparently out so we gathered once again." Ok everybody, we will now begin, and since you are hear and are a trusting friend of Alexis, you will join too!" He yelled as he pointed to me. I blushed slightly and nodded.we all walked up to the little starting point. Alexis, Matt and me were the only ones that were there that weren't in the pack. We all readied ourselves to shift and run.

" Ready, set, and.... go!" He yelled, and with that we were off like that! We all leaped into the air and shifted. I shifted into my fastest form, my horse. Alexis turned into a cheetah, and Matt turned into a leopard. Everyone else was a wolf so they were kinda boring. I galloped through the soft dirt as fast as I could. Everyone else was right beside me, except Alexis and Matt. I decided to top it up a notch so I started galloping faster. Alexis, since she was in cheetah form, she sped up. She was out of sight by the loose dirt that flew up after her. I was right beside Matt, which was slowing down a bit, so I picked up my pace even more. I had past him and was in front of everyone until something fast ripped me from the dirt and threw me against a tree. I winced at the pain but got up quickly. I shifted back so I was no threat, but as soon as I looked into that things eyes..... I knew it was my mate.

Unknown POV

After everyone escaping from that jail in our little house, our leader freaked! I was happy though because my mate got out, or at least I think she did. I had just had enough of that place. First they broke her, took away her memory, for god knows how long! I started running away, I was heart broken. The last thing I wanted to do is go back to my coven. I wanted to find my mate. I ran through the thick, dark forest as fast as I could. I once in a while stopped for food and water, or lets just say they are mixed. I eat/drink blood so yeah. I stopped for about 10 minutes, and I could smell my mates scent. I got up, and started running to her as fast as I could. I stumbled through the roots of large trees, but managed to stay on my feet. I could tell the scent was getting stronger and stronger, so I kept running in that direction. After stumbling on tree roots, I hit something so hard, it flew across the field and hit a tree. I groaned and got up slowly, and as soon as I got up, I saw her. I had found what I was looking for.
