Wild Shifters Chapter 12 It Hatches!!

Chapter 12

Alexis's POV

After Isabelle went someplace with her mate, I was sad. Sad that I hurt her mate, but I also wasn't being a good friend. I shook that off and was ready for the next, and last test. Well, the last test for me anyways." Alright! Hear is the last test to join this pack. You will now have to bring your kill back to us, and the hunt...... starts..... NOW!" He yelled. We both zoomed off into the forest, departing once we ran off. I shifted into my large wolf, and started running. I sniffed the air, smelling all these different kinds of animals. Rabbits, deer, moose. Once I picked up the scent of the moose, I picked up my pace. It was about half a kilometre away so I started running faster, before anyone else got to it. Since my wolf was large, I was able to pick up speed faster. It must of been an alpha for its size. I finally got to the place where the moose was. I quickly hid behind a huge tree, peeking over to see what I would catch. It was a huge male, looked like it would weigh about 350 pounds, but I could carry that. I got down, so my stomach was just touching the ground to stalk my prey. I moved closer, and closer, until I was finally able to lunge at the moose. It didn't know I was coming so I attracted my claws, and I dug my claws into its skin so I had it. I then swiftly went for its neck. My large canines dug into my prey, and I quickly snapped its neck. I let it drop I a little but then put my large catch over my back. I secured the moose on my back snugly, so I could move properly. I lunged for the dirt to pick up my pace. I started running faster.After I picked up my pace a little more, I could smell rogues. Not rogue warriors, but rogue wolves. I quickly howled to tell the pack that there was others trespassing on our land. I started running even faster, because it was almost dark. I could smell the pack so close, I started slowing down my pace. I got out of the forest with the moose still on my back, thankfully. I let the moose slide completely off of my back and stood up right, to show my honour. A moment after me, Matt sprung out of the bushes with a 2 deers in his mouth. He looked over to me and literally dropped the 2 deers out of his mouth, and his mouth was shaped like an O. The alpha came over to me and inspected my kill." Very well done Alexis, you are a good hunter." He complimented me. I stood up nice and proud to show it. He slowly walked over to Matt." Well, you have got 2 very nice deers Matt, well done, both of you." He told us. We stood with pride and then shifted back." Well, since you brought back your kills, you will take a bite of it first." The alpha told us. We looked at each other, and shrugged." In..... animal form, right alpha?" I asked him. He chuckled and looked at me a funny way." Of course Alexis, unless you want to eat it in human form." He laughed. I bowed my head in respect to the alpha, and did as he said. I shifted into my cougar and went over to my kill. I looked at it, and then dug in. It was so delicious I couldn't stop, I lifted my head up and looked at Matt, and then the alpha.

I quickly stepped away from my kill, just incase I got really crazy and ripped it to shreds. The alpha nodded, and slowly walked over to Matt again. I looked to him and he looked kinda funny." It's ok Matt." I sent to him. He swirled his head to me and gave me a reassuring smile. He looked back and shifted into a lion. He went over to his own kills, and dug into both of them. I had a little hungry thirst for blood, seeing my mate dig in made me feel proud. I wouldn't have asked for a more perfect mate. After he was done eating some of the deer, we both turned into wolves, and walked over to each other. He nuzzled into my neck in a very cute way. It made my body mentally jolt with excitement." How did it taste?" The alpha asked us. I shifted back and licked my lips. " Delicious!" I told him as I smiled. Matt shifted back too and had him arm rapped around my waist." What about you, Matt?" He asked Matt." The best meat I have ever tasted in animal form!" He said, sarcastically. The alpha turned around and spoke to the rest of our soon to be pack." Well, that leaves us with only 2 more things. Matt will have to fight, and then then both of them will get there tattoos." He yelled as some of them cheered while the others softly booed at us. Matt and I both smirked at the wolves that booed, and they quickly stopped. "Well, Matt will fight, an you will get your tattoo." He said as he looked at me and Matt. We both nodded, Matt went to the training grounds, and I went to go get my tattoo. As I walked away, I looked over my shoulder. I was worried, scared, mostly worried for my mate.' I hope he doesn't get hurt!' I thought to myself. I kept walking and walking until we came to a stop." Alright! This is the area! Once she reads your soul, your tattoo will spread. Go!" Someone, I'm guessing the beta, or father yelled. First time I called him father. Anyways! Who is she. I looked over to see a small figure. She was about 5'6, had long, blonde hair, purplish- blue eyes. She looked like she was in her 30's! She motioned for me to come over. I slowly, walked over, not too sure of what would happen. I sat down, and she took my hand quickly, and started chanting. I felt a sharp pain in my wrist, but it was nothing else. It felt like I had a hot nail going through my wrist. After a few moments it stopped. I had my eyes closed, but then slowly looking down and opening my eyes, I couldn't believe what I saw! There were three eyes on my wrist. There was a snakes eye, a wolfs eye, and an owls eye. I looked at it until they just disappeared and only one remained. I glanced up, and they all looked dumbfounded. Before anyone could move, rogue warriors came out of the woods behind us. I quickly got up, and changed into my wolf. I growled and moved threateningly towards them. They didn't hesitate to attack, and took me on full force." Kyle! Help!" I pleaded in my head as I tried to fight them off." Where are you? What's happening? I'm coming." Before I could say anything else, he broke off the link.
