A few years later.
Rome, Italy.

The sound of laughter rang loudly in the garden as the children played amongst themselves - the whole backyard was decorated in pink theme. A huge castle served as the backdrop, with different activities for kids and carts of food all around.

Valentina noticed a few of the children attacking the dessert table, stuffing their faces with cupcakes. She smiled and shook her head at their antics, but her attention soon went to the tiny hands which grabbed the corner of her dress.

"Mamma," Viviana, her three year old daughter, pouted her tiny lips and raised her arms towards her.

Valentina awed at her and then took her in her arms gently, "Yes, mia cara?" She brushed Viviana's hair away from her face and cradled her cheek in her hand.

Her daughter only placed her head on her shoulder and closed her eyes. Valentina understood that she might be tired as she had been constantly running around the whole day. Before Valentina could speak, she felt a pair of arms close around her waist.

"Hello sweetheart," Valerius murmured in her ear before placing a kiss on the side of her head. He then ruffled Viviana's hair whose eyes started sparkling with excitement when she saw her father. All her tiredness disappeared as she jumped in his arms, hugging him tightly.

Valerius chuckled and held her closely to his chest, "Princess," He addressed her softly.

Valentina felt that her heart would burst with joy; seeing Valerius become a girl dad had been everything. He was so gentle with her, going to every extreme measure to make sure she was protected, and Valentina still remembered how he had cried when Viviana was born.

"Mamma!" Her head turned towards the voice as she saw her seven year old, Vincenzo, who they all called Vince, or as Viviana called him Vinceee, walk towards them.

Valentina's eyes widened as she noticed his attire. He was dressed so neatly a few hours ago, and now he had ruined it all with mud, food and even icing. She grabbed a few tissue papers from the side table and began to dab on his shirt to clean him.

"Your sister still has to cut her cake," Valentina said as she wiped the mess away, "You need to stay away from trouble for a few more minutes."

Two wide eyes stared at her with a toothy grin plastered over his face, "I will try," Vince giggled and then ran towards his father and sister who were watching their interaction.

Valentina placed her on hands on her hips but then a smile slowly broke out on her face when she looked at the three of them. Vince was the carbon copy of Valerius. He was the first born, and the best buddy of his dad, who loved him more than anything in this world. Their children were spoiled rotten by Valerius, and it was Valentina who kept them in check often.

"Look at this princess," Valentina kissed Viviana's cheek, "She forgets about her mother as soon as her father comes around."

Viviana only grinned and tightened her arms around Valerius's neck, "Ti amo, papà." She said while looking at him as if he was her everything.
"Ti amo, princess." Valerius placed a kiss on her head.

"Ti amo, mamma." Vince said cheekily while staring at his mother - but before he could move to hug her, his gaze went towards the backyard entrance and widened, as did Viviana's who instantly asked Valerius to put her down.

"Zio Dimitri!" The children shouted as they ran towards him. Dimitri grabbed both of them at the same time and raised them up from the ground, hugging Viviana and Vince tightly.

If their children loved anyone more in this world than their parents, it was their Zio Dimitri. He was the one they wanted around, whether it was a special occasion or a normal day. Their eyes immediately lit up when he was in the room, and Valentina had adored his company always.

"We can forget about them for a few hours," Valerius said while moving towards her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and placed his chin on her head. Valentina nodded and moved around in his hold, joining her hands behind his neck.

"You look beautiful," Valerius whispered staring lovingly in her eyes. After all these years, his stare still made Valentina blush. He ran his hand lightly over the necklace she wore, a small smile coming to his lips.

"It's beautiful," Valentina murmured. Valerius had a habit of gifting her something on their children's birthday. He thought that she deserved to be celebrated too, and as he always said that he did not need any reason to spoil her.

Valerius ran his the back of his hand over her cheek, "You deserve the world, sweetheart."

"You are my world," Valentina said to which his eyes softened. She slowly moved closer to him and placed her lips gently on his, kissing him. She moved her hands in his hair as he deepened their kiss, tightening his hold on her.

"Mamma! Papa!"

They broke away when Viviana and Vince called out to them. Valerius placed a soft kiss on her cheek and then looked at his children who were waving at them.

"Viviana wants to cut the cake," Vince shouted as Dimitri tried to stop Viviana from grabbing the different decorations on the cake.

"We are coming, baby." Valentina said and watched as he ran towards his sister, distracting her enough for Dimitri to move the cake away safely.

"Our kids need us at the moment," Valerius said, and then he leaned forward to whisper in her ear, "But tonight you are mine."

Valentina suppressed her laugh, "Of course."

Valerius pulled away and grabbed her hand in his, intertwining their fingers. They moved towards Viviana and Vince who jumped in excitement upon seeing them.

Valentina settled everything and then placed the cake in front of her daughter who smiled and clapped her hands as everyone sang to her. Vince and Dimitri sang the loudest which made Viviana and everyone else laugh.

Valerius looked at his family, his gaze slowly going towards the woman behind it all - his Valentina, and its as if she noticed him staring her that Valentina looked at him too, and as they stared in each others' eyes, they knew that this was the perfect ending to their fairytale.
