Present time.
Rome, Italy.

"Drink this."
Valentina held the glass of kale juice in front of Valerius. He made a disgusted face and turned his head sideways, "No."
His stubbornness had not wavered. Valentina had to force him to eat dinner, and now she had been trying for an hour to get him to drink the juice.
"Valerius." She warned.
It was like nursing a child back to health.
"I am fine." He said tilting to look at her, "I do not need to drink this liquid."
Valentina did not budge, "It was suggested by the doctor."
"Ucciderò quel maledetto dottore," Valerius muttered under his breath while running a hand through his wet hair.

"You will do no such thing." Valentina warned him, "Now drink or otherwise...." She put her mind to work, "I will sleep in the guest bedroom tonight."
Valerius instantly grabbed the glass and chugged the juice down his throat in less than a minute, wincing at the taste.

Valerius straightened his body, "I am fine, sweetheart."

The pain of being away from her, the hurt of not being able to do anything, the joy he felt at this moment.
He said it all.
And yet no words were used.
Valentina shuffled closer to him, he laid his arm out and wrapped it around her body once she was beside him. Valentina placed her head on his shoulder, "It is all over."
"Is it?" He asked, tracing circles on her waist.
"I killed them."
His hand on her waist stilled.
"I killed them, Valerius." Valentina repeated, "I had to. You do not know how I felt every time I saw you lying on the bed, unconscious. You were so still. I had a fear that you wouldn't wake up." Her fingers trembled in her lap, "It was all because of those two. They had tried every possible thing to ruin our lives. Your life."
Valerius placed a kiss on her forehead, "I am fine, sweetheart," He comforted her, "I am fine."
