"Vladimir?"

Valerius asked Dimitri about the Russian Don as they prepared for his arrival. He had accepted their invitation and was supposed to land in a few hours.

Valerius had wanted to get over with the night and suggested that they talk in his office. But Valentina thought it was better if they hosted a dinner, so things could go more smoothly. She didn't think it was smart to rush into such matters.

"He will be here shortly," Dimitri answered him. He stood near the wall and gave a detailed report about the night's situation.

Valerius shrugged on his watch while listening to him; the mole was still not found. The person was smart and covered their tracks quite well. Even the man who was responsible for the hit on Valentina was proved to be of no use. He had no information about where the order came from. He just had a burner phone, and there was nothing on it.

Dimitri left his position near the wall and came to stand beside Valerius, "Each time that we think we have succeeded, the situation slips from our hands."

"I will find him," Valerius spoke.

Dimitri caught on, "Him?"

There was silence between the two men.

"Do you know who is behind all this?" Dimitri asked, his eyes locked on Valerius with a questioning gaze.

Valerius only turned around and patted Dimitri on the shoulder, "Let me check on Valentina."

The change of topic didn't go unnoticed by Dimitri. His mind wondered what the Don had up his sleeve.

Valerius walked towards his bedroom - he had given Valentina privacy to prepare for dinner. It had almost been an hour, and he thought that she might be done by now.

"Don," Zara bowed as she opened the door to the room. Valerius acknowledged her with a nod - she was one of his most trusted associates. He had taken her in after her parents died, they had been serving his family for years, and it was his moral obligation to provide for their daughter.

"Valentina will be done in a few minutes," Zara spoke, her eyes widening when she noticed the hard expression on Valerius's face.

She rushed to explain herself, "She has allowed me to call her by her first name."

"Has she?" Valerius arched his brow.

"Si, Don." Zara nodded, "I would never dare to do otherwise."

Fair enough, Valerius thought.

They both turned their heads when they heard Valentina appear in the doorframe of the closet, "Valerius!" She scowled at him with one of her hands at her back, "Stop being so hard on her, and come here."

Zara passed a smile to Valentina who returned her one of her own; the bodyguard quietly left the room when she realized that they needed to be left alone.

Valentina turned around and walked inside the closet, holding the back of her dress as she struggled to zip it. She heard Valerius enter after her, "Quick." She ordered him, her arm was beginning to feel numb from keeping the dress in place.

She felt his warm hands gently drag the zip upwards. Once he was done, Valentina looked at the mirror in front of her - Valerius was staring at her intensely, with his hands in the pocket of his dress pants and the white shirt stretched across his chest. The first three buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing his smooth, tan skin. His hair was pushed back with a strand falling on his forehead, his gold chain shining under the light of the vanity. He looked beautiful, as always.

She turned around and placed her hand on his chest, Valentina met his eyes. His grey clashed with her forest green, melting softly. Valerius leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. Her eyes closed as he did so.

"My Valentina." He murmured lowly, placing his hands on her waist. "All mine." His grip tightened on the satin material.

Valentina flashed him a bright smile, she raised herself on her toes, and kissed his forehead, as he did hers. "My Valerius." She spoke, her voice a sweet hue, "Always mine."

"All yours, baby. All yours." He said, the corner of his lips tilting upwards as Valentina nodded her head, "I will murder the person who tries to take you away from me." She placed her second hand on his chest as well, "You know I can use a gun quite well."

"Damn right you can, love." His eyes shone with pride, remembering the time he had taught her how to use the weapon, it had taken her only a few minutes to fully grasp it.

"And I will use it on Vladimir tonight if he tries to do something." She raised her leg and placed it on the ottoman on the side, the slit of her dress fell, showing the gun strapped to her thigh.

Valerius chuckled and pecked her lips gently. "You do whatever you want to, baby." He kissed her again, "No one will stop you."

She flicked her hair to the side. Her neck revealing the diamond necklace. Valerius immediately smiled and ran his hand over it, "I should have brought you a new one for tonight." His eyes stared into hers.

Valentina shook her head, "No, no!"

Valerius raised his eyebrow at her.

"I already have too many," Her hands gestured around the space in the closet, "and this is the first time I am wearing this one."

Valerius had an unhealthy obsession with showering her with diamonds. She couldn't remember a time when he came home without a new piece. Ultimately, she had to stop him or her closet would drown in them.

"If it were up to me, sweetheart," Valerius raised her chin, "I would make you wear them even in your sleep."

Valentina sucked in a breath, "You are crazy." She muttered, a small smile playing on her lips.

Valerius wrapped his arm around her waist and tugged her closer to his chest, "Only for you."

Always for you, he promised.
