After Pearl Jam was finished, we all came out and took a bow for the crowd.

I was high on heroin.

Corey got me into a lot of hard core drugs but luckily, they weren't killing me.
Stone is my drug buddy, and after I was done performing he left me some heroin.
Nice kid.
Our roadies packed up for us and we all headed out for ice cream.

Like children. Rusty drove us there in the bus, but it was late, we didn't expect anyone to find us.
"Uhhh...vanilla, please," Stone ordered.
"You are so fucking boring," I told him, and he just laughed it off.
"Hey, don't talk to my girlfriend like that," Eddie scolded me, while giving Stone a big and slobbery kiss on the cheek.
"God, you're weird," Stone told him.
The whole table laughed and threw ice cream at each other like tired drunk people, and eventually we got kicked out.
So we headed back on the road, to our next stop.

Salt Lake City, Utah.

Everyone pretty much crashed like they always did, but I was too excited and jumpy to sleep, so I made Eddie stay up with me.
Hey, I don't wanna be lonely.
"You did amazing, Eddie,"
"Nothing compared to you."
I blushed and said, "Nah."
"Yeah."
"Nah."
"Yeah."
"Suck a dick," I laughed.
"Okay," he said willingly.
We were both sitting on the couch next to the window.
We only saw headlights and highways as we drove through the night.

"Violet?" Eddie asked.
"Yeah?"
"What are your insecurities?"
I'll admit I was kind of baffled by the question, and I didn't really want to tell him, but I trusted Eddie.
"My voice, my face, my acne..."
He was sitting across from me on the couch, and he could see the hurt and worry in my eyes.
"You're voice is beautiful and so is your face and acne. Goodnight, Violet." And with that, Eddie got up from the couch but before he could leave I grabbed his hand.
"Wait," I demanded.
He sat back down.
"And now what are yours?"
He sighed.
"My height, my body, my looks."
He was short for a guy, I guess, but I liked it. Honestly. He wasn't this big guy with muscles and everything, he was scrawny and full of life. But God, when he sang, a lion seemed to tear apart that scrawny frame. I loved it.
I loved him.
"Well you're taller than me so that's okay. I like your height and if anyone picks on you for it I'll kick their ass. I like your body. I think you're perfect, and none of the things you're insecure about matter to me."
He smiled, so huge, so pure.
And for a moment the world stopped, everything just... Froze. And I was aware of everything around me and I was aware of my love for Eddie, I love I couldn't escape.

"Thank you."

Eddie's smiles were typically goofy or mischievous, but not this smile. I saw a light in his eyes I'd never seen before. He smiled with wisdom, newly found hope, with love. And his bright blue eyes looked like the oceans he sang about, and there was nothing but joy in them.

Wow. He looks beautiful.

And then Corey walked in on our moment, our beautiful, precious moment I knew was one that'd last forever.

"What the fuck?! You dirty fucking whore. I knew something was going on. God you stupid cunt, I'll kill you!"
Corey threw his bottle of liquor at me, and I felt sharp glass in my skull, blood running down my face.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING HURT HER YOU EVIL PRICK!" I heard Eddie scream.
But my vision blurred. I felt people all around me, more screaming and groaning. I couldn't feel anything, I was so unaware. Corey made everything so unaware for me and Eddie made everything clearer.

And then I blacked out.
