Izzy POV

Jane sat next to me in the car. I covered my face with my hands. This can't be happening, they know. They know it was me. This can't be happening. I never should have talked to them. I should've stayed away when I read their minds. I should've just moved school districts and let it be over with, but no, I had to intervene. This is my fault.
"Izzy?" Jane touched my thigh.
I didn't respond to her. I felt so nauseous.
"Izzy... we should've done this a different way. I shouldn't have let you do that. We could've done this a different way," Jane said.
I know she was trying to comfort me, but it wasn't working very well. I gripped onto my hair pulling at it. "This is my fault... mine... I should've listened. I never should've gotten involved. I should've just moved. This is my fault... mine," I breathed heavily yanking at my hair harder.
Jane wrapped her hands around my wrists, "Stop, stop... this is not your fault... this is ours. We never should've had a human involved. This is on us, not you," she said.
I tried to pull away from Jane, but her grip was strong. "This is my fault, Jane. If I just didn't get involved. When I first read your guy's mind about killing her. I should've ran. I should've just moved school districts and then everything would go back to normal. This. Is. My. Fault," I said through my teeth.
"Izzy... Izzy, it's not your fault, look at me, it's not. This is all on us," she said.
"It's not!" I yelled at her. "I'm the one who wanted to get involved. I was the one who wanted this. You were the one who told me to stop. I shouldn't have done this!" I yelled. I wanted to hit something... to throw something. I balled my hands into fists.
"Izzy... breathe," she said.
"Shut up!" I screamed.
"Hey... Izzy... listen to me, I know you feel like this is your fault, but it is not. I promise you that none of this is your fault. I am right here; I am right here. Just please calm down," she said.
I shoved her hands away when she tried to comfort me.
"Izzy, I know you are scared, but I will protect you, always,"
"Stop, Jane, please just stop. You can't make me feel a different way, it doesn't work that way," I continued to push her away. I couldn't move much because I was in the car.
Jane wrapped her arms around me pulling me to her as best as she could, "Breathe my love, it will be okay," she said.
"I don't want this," I shook my head.
"I know... I know... but we can't change the past. We can't. What is done is done, we just have to get out of here then things will be okay," she said.
I shook my head over and over. "Stop," I dug my nails into her hand.
"Izzy, I am right here," she said.
The car stopped.
"Have her put this on, with the hood up," Demetri said tossing Jane his jacket.
"Come on, it's time to go," she said.
I didn't move.
"Izzy, we need to go," Jane said.
"Jane, we need to go," Demetri said.
"Izzy, come on,"
"No," I said.
Jane sighed and she effortlessly pulled me out of the car.
I just stopped, I didn't move, I just froze.
"Izzy," Jane said moving Infront of me. "We need to go," she said slowly.
After several minutes I nodded.
Jane handed me the jacket and I put it on. Then Jane, Demetri and I walked quickly, well Jane was practically dragging me along as I could not keep up with both of their speed. Alec was there waiting for us. "Felix is already on the plane with...uh..." he trailed off.
"Becca," I finished for him. "I don't want to see her, please, I can't, I can't," I said looking up at him.
"Okay... okay Izzy, we will take care of this," Alec said moving to me. "I promise,"
I nodded. I didn't believe it though, not one bit.
Alec then disappeared.
Jane, Demetri and I waited a few minutes. My guess was that they were putting Becca somewhere else... out of my sight. I don't really know how much time has passed but after a bit we boarded the private jet.
There were muffled whimpers coming from the back of the plane. "Sedate her... make her stop," I whispered covering my ears. "I... I don't want to hear it... please," I whispered, my hands shaking some.
"Felix," Jane muttered.
He nodded, "Got it," he said and disappeared. Then, it went quiet.
I picked at my nails, tearing what I could off. "Izzy... Izzy... stop you are going to hurt yourself," Jane said once again, grabbing my hands holding them tightly to where I could not move them.
"I don't care... I deserve it," I mumbled.
"You don't," she said. "Do you want something to help calm down?" she asked.
I nodded instantly.
She nodded and Demetri tossed her a pill bottle, which she caught easily. She opened the pill bottle hand handed me two pills.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Halcion," she said.
"The stuff they give you at dentists?"
"Uh... I guess? Have you taken it before?" She asked.
I nodded, "Yeah, I do for dental work," I said and took the pills from her. She handed me a bottle of water as well. I placed the pills in my mouth and drank the water that was handed to me.
"Relax, I will not let you go. I know this is scary, but we will get through this. I promise. It is going to be hard, but I will help you get through this, okay my love?"
I nodded, "Okay," I whispered looking up at her, tears in my eyes.
"It is going to be okay," she said.
"Hold me?" I whispered.
She nodded and pulled me close to her, pulling me onto her lap. I hid my head into her shirt. She rubbed my back gently. "Focus on your breathing," she whispered.
I nodded and took a few deep breaths as I finally began to calm down. I still felt the same. I felt like a horrible person. Jane was right, I can't change what is in the past. "Jane," I whispered.
"Yes?"
"Don't let me go," I whispered.
"Never in a million years," she said kissed the top of my head. "This isn't going to be easy, but we will figure this out, together," she said.
"Together?" I whispered peaking up at her.
"Together."
