Veer woke up the next morning to the sound of his alarm clock ringing insistently. He quickly reached out to turn it off.
As the room fell silent, he took a moment to gather his thoughts. His eyes wandered to the side of the bed, where Aditi lay sleeping peacefully.
A gentle smile spread across his face as he watched her. Her hair fell softly around her face, and she glowed in the morning light, a radiance that came from pregnancy.
He leaned over and planted a soft kiss on her forehead. She stirred slightly but did not wake.
He then turned his attention to her baby bump. He couldn’t help but admire it, his heart swelling with excitement, he kissed her baby bump.
Veer : Good morning, baby, Ab jaldi aa jao papa se bilkul wait nahi ho raha hai, jabse aapke aane ki khabar mili hai aapki mumma bohot pareshan kar rahi hai, aap bahar aa jao, ek saath mumma ko pareshan karenge.
"Accha main pareshan karti hu...!!!"
He heard her voice and got up.
Veer : just joking baccha...tumhare baare mein aisa bol sakta hu kabhi bilkul nahi.
Aditi : itne bhi bhole nahi hai aap Mr Rajvansh, team banayi jaa rahi hai mere against abhi se.
Both chuckled.
Veer : just kidding, humari koi team tumhare bina puri nahi ho sakti.
Aditi : baby se baat karte hue bohot cute lagte hai aap, khud baby lagte hai.
Veer : tum jaag rahi thi toh batana chahiye tha na.
Aditi : aaj kya roz jaagi hui hi hoti hu.
He glared at her.
Aditi : waise main so hi rahi thi, aapki baaton se uth gayi, accha hi hua 2nd trimester jabse shuru hua hai tabse sleeping habits hi change ho gayi thi, 11 baje tak soti rehti thi.
Veer : haa toh accha hai hai jitna rest mile.
Aditi : kal meri Dr. Sharma se baat hui thi, unhone bhi yehi suggest kiya ki jitna ho sake movements karti rahu, ek jagah par zyada baithe rehne se bhi nahi chalta, isiliye soch rahi hu ki aaj se shaam ko walk ke liye chali jaungi.
Veer : what..!!! But aaj ek important consignment nikalne wala hai, mera office mein hona bohot zaruri hai.
Aditi : haa toh, aap jaiye na main akeli chali jaungi.
Veer : akeli kaise jaogi, achanak kuch ho gaya toh...
Aditi : nothing will happen, I can handle myself veer.
Veer : but...
Aditi : accha okay listen, if I feel the slightest discomfort I'll be back home okay and I'll ask ananya if she wants to come with me.
Veer : okay.
She smiled and kissed his cheek.
Veer : you and your mood swings.
Aditi : haww, whenever I kiss you you taunt me like this.
Veer : it's true, main tumhe jab bhi kiss karta hu it feels like I am the most wanted criminal.
She chuckled.
Veer : okay now get up, breakfast ka time ho gaya hai, vitamins bhi lene hai.
She nodded.

Aditi sat at the dining table, staring at her breakfast with a scrunched-up face. In front of her was a glass of warm milk, She wrinkled her nose, not pleased with the sight.
Veer : Aditi, have your milk fast.
Aditi : But Veer, I hate the smell of it
she replied, crossing her arms defiantly. She could feel the usual morning battle brewing once again.
Veer : Aditi, tumhare roz ke bahane hai yeh, Mujhe doodh nahi peena, mujhe doodh accha nahi lagta, ab yeh sab nahi chalega. Come on, have it.
His voice was firm but playful.
She pouted.
Shikha : he's right baccha have it.
She rolled her eyes dramatically. She could not resist a little humor, so she replied,
Aditi : Haa, main bhi toh sochu, ab tak sasu maa ne apne damad ki tarafdaari mein kuch kaha kyu nahi!
They chuckled.
Veer : aditi..!!!
Aditi : pee rahi hu.
Shikha : hum bhi breakfast ke baad nikal rahe hai.
Veer : but aap log toh kuch din aur rehne wale the na.
Ishaan : ek important kaam aa gaya hai isiliye mujhe jaana hoga, maine isse kaha tum reh jao par usne mana kar diya.
Dadi : shikha you stay here, baad mein chali jaana.
Ishaan : main bhi wahi keh raha hu, aditi ko accha lagega.
Shikha : okay.
Aditi : kya dad ek hitler kam the jo aap ek aur ko mere sarr rakh kar jaa rahe ho, kyunki iss mother India ko apne damad ke alawa aur koi saccha lagta hi nahi.
He chuckled.
Veer : dekha mumma, aapki beti jabse yaha aayi hai meri dadi ko apne side kar liya, aur ab kitni jealous ho rahi hai.
Aditi : main aur jealous, main koi jealous nahi hu.
Veer : haa woh toh nazar aa raha hai.
Ishaan : zaruri kaam nahi hota toh main bhi rehta.
Aditi : it's okay dad, work comes first.

Aditi : don't worry veer, I'll be fine.
Veer : jaise jaise time jaa raha hai na, utna hi stressed hota jaa raha hu.
Aditi : I understand veer, even though I feel stressed, iska ek hi ilaaj hai, stay positive.
He nodded and kissed her forehead, she hugged him.
Veer : bye.
Aditi : bye, take care and have lunch on time.
He nodded.
