His heart raced as he stepped into the fluorescent-lit maternity ward.

The walls seemed to close in on him, suffocating him with anxiety.

His eyes scanned the room until they landed on Aditi, lying on the hospital bed, a ghostly pallor painting her exhausted face.

In that moment, time stopped for him. The world around him blurred away, leaving only her at the center of his universe.

Trembling hands reached out to caress her cheeks, hoping beyond hope for a sign of life.

And then her eyelids fluttered open, revealing the faint glimmer of awareness within.

Tears welled up in his eyes, streaming down his face in silent anguish.

Veer : I...I am sorry, baccha....

he choked out between sobs, his voice breaking with emotion.

Veer : I w....was not there when you needed me.

Her hand, weak but tender, reached up and gently wiped away his tears, a silent reassurance that they were together now.

Veer : everything will be fine, okay, I am with you now.

The doctor entered the ward.

Doctor : Mr Rajvansh now please excuse us.

Veer : doctor can I be with her.

Doctor : circumstances don't allow Mr Rajvansh, it's a little crucial, I can understand your concern, but you have to go.

He nodded, he kissed her forehead.

Veer : I know you'll do it baccha, be strong.

She nodded weakly.

He turned to leave, with the heavy heart he finally left.

Akshat : kaisi hai?

He didn't say anything just sat there.

Ishaan left from there, shikha went behind him.

Shikha : Ishaan..!!!!

Ishaan : sab wahi ho raha hai...

Shikha : calm down ishaan.

Ishaan : kaise? Harr pal bass yehi wish ki hai ki jo maine face kiya woh veer aur aditi ko kabhi na karna pade, phir bhi....aisa lag raha hai jaise aaj main ussi samay mein pohoch gaya hu, aaj jaise waha veer baitha hai na lifelessly, waise hi main baitha tha, samajh nahi aa raha tha ki khush hou ki mera baccha hone wala hai ya apni biwi ke liye daru, yeh jo feeling hai na bohot bohot ajeeb hai, aisa lagta hai jaise zindagi aur maut ki beech ek lakir par khade hai hum.

Shikha : ishaan, main samajh sakti hu, par tum tension mat lo sab thik ho jayega.

Ishaan : kaise thik hoga shikha, itni mushkile paar karne ke baad zindagi ne ek beti di hai, usse aise nahi dekh paa raha...

Shikha : mere liye aasan hai apni bacchi ko aise dekhna, lekin hume apni bacchi ke liye himmat rakhni hogi, veer ko sambhalna hoga, mata rani kuch nahi hone degi humari bacchi ko, dono bilkul safe honge, nana banne wale ho.

He smiled a little.

Outside the operation theatre, anxiety hung thicker in the air as Veer paced back and forth, his eyes glued to the closed door, every passing minute felt like an eternity.

His heart pounded in his chest, matching the frantic rhythm of his thoughts.

Dadi : veer sit here peacefully, everything will be fine.

Veer : dadi...

Shikha : veer aunty is right baitho.

He sat down holding his face in his palms.

Then, breaking through the tension like a ray of sunlight, a delicate sound filled the corridor a baby's cry. A collective sigh of relief swept through the room, and Veer's heart skipped a beat. His eyes widened in anticipation as he stood up, his legs feeling weak beneath him. The cry grew louder, more insistent, echoing joyously through the sterile halls.

Moments later, the door swung open, and a nurse emerged, a warm smile gracing her face.

Nurse : Congratulations, it's a baby girl...!!!!

she announced, her voice soft but filled with happiness. The room erupted in cheers and tears of joy, but Veer remained frozen in place.

Dhruv : main chacha bann gaya.

Akshat : tu akela nahi main bhi, dadi aap pardadi bann gaye finally.

Everyone smiled.

Shikha : congratulations Ishaan, bann gaye tum nana finally.

Ishaan : congratulations to you too nani.

They chuckled.

Veer : a..aditi is she fine?

Nurse : yes sir mam is fine.

Everyone sighed in relief.

Finally, the doctor emerged from the ward, cradling a tiny bundle in her arms a precious life born from the love between Veer and Aditi.

Veer's breath caught in his throat as he beheld the sight before him. The tiny, wriggling form of his daughter held a magic that left him speechless, his eyes shining with unshed tears of overwhelming emotion.

Shikha : Veer, think no more, take your princess.

He hesitated, his hands trembling with a mixture of fear and awe. He couldn't believe that this tiny being was his daughter, a piece of their love made tangible.

Veer : Mumma, how do I...

His words faltered, uncertainty clouding his mind as he gazed down at the fragile life in his arms.

Shikha : I'm here, take her.

With hesitant hands, he reached out and cradled the baby against his chest, feeling her warmth seeping into his being.

And in that moment, a surge of pure love and gratitude flooded his heart, overwhelming him in a tidal wave of emotions.

Veer : Thank you, Mata Rani, thank you so much...!!!

He whispered reverently, his voice barely above a whisper. He pressed a gentle kiss to his daughter's forehead, his heart swelling with a love so profound it could move mountains.

Veer : thank you baby humari life mein aane ke liye, aapne hume complete kar diya.

Akshat : arey yrr ab hume bhi de yrr, hum sab line mein hai, waise bhi teri baatein sunn kar bore ho rahi hai, humari angel.

He chuckled and gave the baby to dadi.

Dadi : socha nahi tha zindagi yeh dinn bhi dikhayegi, mata rani kare kisi ki nazar na lage.

Shikha : sahi kaha aapne, aankhein bilkul veer jaisi hai.

He smiled.

Dhruv : please aunty, dusra khadus nahi chahiye.

He glared at him.

Veer : doctor, can I meet aditi?

Doctor : she's unconscious now due to anesthesia, she'll regain consciousness in 4 to 5 hours.

He nodded...!!!!
