At night, aditi returned home and saw him pacing here and there.
Veer : aditi...baccha phone off kyu aa raha hai kabse try kar raha hu.
Aditi : battery chali gayi thi, ruhi kaha hai?
Veer : dadi ke saath hai sula diya hai maine usse.
Aditi : hum bhi so jaate hai.
Veer : ek minute, fresh ho jao, dinner karte hai.
Aditi : aapne bhi dinner nahi kiya?
Veer : tumhare bina khaya hai kabhi.
Aditi : fresh hokar aati hu.
She left.
After some time, she came down changing, and she saw all of her favourite dishes.
Veer : welcome Mrs Rajvansh, for you your favourite dishes made by one and only your husband.
Aditi : yeh sab aapne banaya hai?
Veer : toh aur kon husband hai tumhara..!!!
She chuckled, he made her sit and served her.
Veer : start..!!!
She looked at him.
Veer : kya hua?
She made him sit in front of him.
Aditi : I am sorry...!!!
Veer : sorry toh mujhe bolna chahiye tum kyu bol rahi ho.
Aditi : bass aise hi, guilty feel kar rahi thi ki...soch rahi hu ruhi thodi aur badi ho jaaye uske baad hi resume karungi...kal hi kisi aur ko apni duties handover kar dungi....
Veer : one second hold on, kya kuch bhi bole jaa rahi ho, tum aisa bilkul nahi karogi okay...
Aditi : par veer...
Veer : koi veer nahi...aditi jitna zaruri ruhi ka khyal rakhna hai utna hi zaruri tumhara sapna hai, itni aasani se chodne nahi dunga tumhe, aur rahi baat ruhi ki toh kal gussa mujhe tum par nahi tha, khud par tha, ki father hote hue bhi, main apni beti ko sambhal nahi paa raha, aur wahi frustrations maine tum par nikal di jo mujhe nahi karna chahiye tha, ruhi hum dono ki zimmedari hai equally, agar uske liye tum apna kaam chod rahi ho toh phir mujhe bhi chod dena chahiye...
Aditi : veer...
Veer : I promise you baccha, ki aaj se main puri koshish karunga ki tumhari absence mein ruhi ka pura dhyan rakhunga.
Aditi : aur main bhi promise karti hu, ki main dono chizo ko ek saath manage karna sikh lungi.
He smiled and kissed her forehead.
Veer : that's my wife ab chalo bohot bhuk lagi hogi na, ek second mauka bhi hai dastoor bhi hai...
Aditi : matlab..?
He pulled her in his lap.
Aditi : veer kya kar rahe hai aap dadi ne dekh liya toh...
Veer : dono so rahe hai, main abhi thodi der pehle hi dekh kar aaya...
She smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck.
They started feeding each other..!!!
After dinner they cleaned the kitchen together.
Aditi : ruhi ko lekar aaiye raat ko dadi ko pareshan karegi...
Veer : tum room mein jao main lekar aata hu.
She nodded.

They were laid on the bed with ruhi between them.
Aditi : I can't believe dhruv bhai aur pyar...
Veer : I can't even believe it, pata nahi kya karenge hum...
Aditi : I am sure koi na koi option nikal aayega, don't worry....
He nodded.
Aditi : accha kal na main aur ananya ruhi aur arya ko lekar park jaa rahe hai, accha lagta hai unhe waha.
Veer : oh girls day out huh...kya papa allowed hai?
Aditi : no entry for papa...!!!
They chuckled.
Veer : okay then be careful, baarish ka time hai...
Aditi : don't worry..!!!
He nodded.
Aditi : good night.
Veer : good night..!!!!

Next afternoon,
Veer was sitting in his cabin, The clock on the wall ticked away the seconds, but he felt time slowing down.
An uneasy feeling twisted in his stomach. It had been like this ever since Aditi told him she was taking Ruhi to the park.
It has been 3 hours but aditi didn't called him once to show ruhi's antics.
He couldn’t shake off the gloomy feeling that wrapped around him like a heavy blanket.
“Maybe I’m just overthinking,” he murmured to himself. What if something happened while they were out? What if they were in trouble?
His thoughts raced as he imagined the worst. His heart pounded loudly, drowning out the sounds of the office around him. He stood up abruptly and paced back and forth.
He called her but she didn't picked up.
The uneasy feeling had turned into anxiety, and he knew he had to do something.
Siddharth entered his cabin.
Siddharth : Veer, ananya phone nahi utha rahi, teri aditi se baat hui kya kaha hai woh log.
Veer : mujhe laga hi tha kuch hua hai aditi bhi phone nahi utha rahi maine call kiya tha, mujhe laga phone silent par hoga, yrr darr lag raha hai.
Siddharth : ek kaam karte hai park chalte hai, 3 ghante ho gaye hai yrr.
He nodded.
As they were about to go they saw them entering with ruhi and arya, they were looking disturbed, their clothes were stained.
Veer : aditi..!!!
They took Ruhi and Arya from them.
Siddharth : hua kya, aap logo ki aisi haalat kaise hui, ananya hua kya kuch bataogi.
Veer : baitho tum dono pani piyo pehle phir batao kya hua.
They nodded..!!!
