This party was insane. It was out way on yonder in the cornfield. My friends and I were invited by some kid in our school. He hardly knew any of us but the more people the better. There was a big fire going on. Everyone had some kind of alcohol in their cups. I currently had some whiskey in my Dixie cup.

We were all underage. I had just turned 16 in March and well, I was going to be a junior in Leesburg High. I had great grades but I was a partier. I hung out with mostly guys and we were all a bunch of rednecks. We went wheeling, mudding, bonfires, trail riding, hunting, fishing, and more. It's basically you named it; we would do it.

It was probably around midnight and I was pretty tipsy. Most of my guy friends went to find some chick to mess around with out here like they do every time. I didn't care much for going off and finding someone. I loved to dance up on a tailgate, with my drink in hand, and sing along to whatever song came on.

I have no clue's who tailgate I was on and I didn't care either. The people out here really didn't care as long as you didn't harm their baby or anything like that. I looked around at around 30 to 40 people that were surrounding the trucks and the fire. I don't think a single person was sober enough to drive. I don't even think half the people intended on leaving here. It was the middle of July and it is party season for us.

A song came on that I really loved. It was Should've Been a Cowboy by Toby Keith. I took the last sip and started to sing. I moved my hips and felt amazing. The way I was feeling made me not care who was watching, who was listening, or who was disgusted.

The song ended and that reminded me that my cup was empty. I reckoned that I should get off and get more to drink. When I went to get off of the bed of the truck there was a really good looking guy around my age staring up at me with a beautiful smile. I was memorized by his handsomeness. That made me freeze in my tracks and now feel different than not caring. When he started talking he had me hanging on every word by how his voice sounded.

"Don't stop dancing Darlin. You were doing a damn good job on my truck." He smirked. This was his truck? Oh, I had to pick the hot guys truck to dance on.

"I am sorry. I didn't know this was your truck." I said moving to the end to get off. He offered me his hand to help me down. He smiled up to me in a trusting way. I may be almost drunk my I can't be that bad to misjudge, can I? I jumped down and he held onto me to make sure I didn't fall. I still had a pretty good balance but the way he was holding me made me wish I didn't.

"You could of stayed up there sweetheart. A pretty little thang like you should be dancing and singing in my truck." I blushed. Thanks to the alcohol it probably showed more.

"I need more to drink anyway." I said shaking my empty cup. He chuckled and even that was hot. I bit my lip but tried to stop before he saw it.

"What cha drinking darlin?"

"Whatever whiskey is here." I smirked. He looked a little surprised but then smiled in approval.

"I need another drink too. I'll get it for you. You can sit tight right here." He said. I normally wouldn't let a random guy take my cup but I easily did with him.

I stood there watching him walk away in his shorts. I looked around to find any of my friends and the only one I saw was sucking face with some chick on his tailgate. I sighed and smiled. Typical for him. I looked back at the truck I was sitting on and debated on sitting. I probably looked weird just standing here. I backed up to it and pulled myself up to sit down.

When I looked up again the guy was coming back with a beer and my red cup in his hand. I felt slightly nervous. I had to down some of my drink to get more confidence back. I don't know how this guy has an effect like this on me. I hang out with guy all the time and they're pretty good looking themselves.

Once he got back he smiled and handed over my drink. I thanked him and took a few quick gulps. He looked at me surprised but chuckled. He moved to where he could jump up and sit right next to me. There was silence for about a minute. I didn't know what to say. I wanted to know who he was because I've never really seen him before.

"So what's your name darlin?" He asked. I looked at him and smiled. Thank God he started the conversation.

"Nicole." I answered simply.

"Luke." He answered smiling at me. "I don't think I've ever seen you around before. Where ya from."

"I moved to Leesburg a while back when I was younger. I've been here most of my life though.' I told him.

"I've lived here all my life. I am surprised I never noticed you. You graduate?" He asked. I giggled and shook my head.

"I know I look older but I'm going to be a junior." I told him.

"Me too." He said really surprised. I am surprised along with him. We should know each other. Same grade, probably the same age, well maybe he is a year older because he is driving. I looked at him.

"So, Luke." I said with a smile. He looked over at me and I took another sip for more courage. "What made you come out here?" I asked. He smiled.

"Well my birthday was yesterday so my one buddy tried to invite everyone and anyone out here for a huge party. No one knows why they are out here besides alcohol and women." He chuckled. I smiled.

"Well now I know." He looked over and smiled. "Happy Birthday Luke." I told him.

"Thanks Nicole. You know if there were about 10 people here, having fun, and drinking it would better. That's what I wanted. I'm glad it didn't turn out that way." He said looking at the fire drinking more of his beer. I followed suit with my drink and nodded.

"Why are you glad it turned out this way if you wanted it the other way?" I asked.

"Well, now I met you. That is a plus. The same things that are going on now would with only 10. All my buddies are with their chicks or another chick. I got away from them to come to my truck and saw you on it dancing. So now I at least can talk to you. I would have probably been drinking alone." He huffed.

"I'm glad I chose the birthday boys truck to dance on." I looked right into his eyes and noticed the color brown they were. I kept a smile on my face.

Luke and I talked about other bonfires we have been too. We have probably been at the same bonfires multiple times but we just never ran into each other. I told him who I always go with and he said he knows one of the guys because they use to play baseball together when he was younger.

We talked for about an hour until he hopped down and smiled. He asked if I wanted to get out of this circle and go off on our own. I of course said yes. I didn't want our time to be cut short. Once I got down Luke put up his tailgate. Now that I am standing I knew I was drunk. I chugged the rest of my drink and through the cup into the fire.

Luke was a gentleman and opened the door for me. He even closed it too. I got in and scooted closer to the middle than towards the door. Once he got in he looked at me with a smile and then started up his truck.
