(POV: Keiko)
"Okay," Mai panted, after she ran 56 laps around the room. "Am I done yet?" "No," I laughed. "You still have 4 more laps to go!" She sighed, then did just that. "Now am I done?" Mai asked, angrily. I heard footsteps by the door, and I immediately thought, that's Aja and Sonichu. I just know it. "Yes, Mai Lee. You are done with your training. Now, you can try my new technique."
Mai started to imitate the motions that she witnessed, then she screamed, pretending to unleash a final blow. She paused, then stamped her foot. "Why hasn't it happened yet?!" She yelled, furiously. "I don't know, try it again." I deadpanned. "Okay, guys!" I yelled, knocking on the wall four times. "What— who—?" Mai looked around the room, confused.
The instant I finished knocking on the wall, a wave of water splashed in and put out the flames surrounding the room. The door then broke down, and Aja, Sonichu, and the Chaotic Combo burst in.
"Finally!" I shouted, relieved. "I was beginning to get sick of that fire!" "Enough complaining," Aja said, sternly. "Now we fight."
Aja flew to the corner of the room and grabbed a rope to tie up Mai. Sonichu grabbed it, then paused. "First, let's subdue her," Sonichu requested, smirking. "Agreed. We'll do that first, then you dispose of her." Aja said. A look of shock struck Mai's face. This was the first time we legitimately saw fear in her expressions. "Do your worst. I dare you," she commanded. Then she snapped her fingers. But nothing happened. "What happened to my security squad?" Mai angrily asked. "That's easy, Mai. We disposed of them." Sonichu affirmed. "Guys, now is our time." Aja gestured towards the Combo. "ATTACK!"
(POV: Aja)
We all took turns physically attacking Mai. Magi-Chan used his telekinesis to lift her up to the ceiling and slam her back down on the ground. Wild made an earthquake, Bubbles drenched her, and Punchy (being true to his name) hit her in the face. Angelica finally put her in a chokehold, and demanded, "Any last words?"
Whoa! I'd never seen a supposed "woman of Arceus" go so savage like that! Then I remembered. We had to destroy the machine that made everyone act all crazy! It was still active!
That's when I witnessed Sonichu speed past us and into another room.
(POV: Sonichu)
"Aja? Aja, do you read me?" I spoke into my network phone while I scanned every room. "Yeah, Mr. 'Chu. I do. Have you found anything yet? Angelica's gone ballistic." Aja responded. "Okay," I retorted. "First of all, I'm Sonichu, not 'Mr. 'Chu'. Second, I've checked every freakin' room, and I haven't found jack."
"Well then, I'll send over Magi-Chan and he'll tell you if he found a signal." Aja sighed. I said, "I've checked every room. I don't have to tell you twice. Are you made of stone or something? What are you, a Geodude?" I heard Aja mutter something about being a level 100 Pokémon, but I interrupted her. "Never mind; send Magi-Chan. I'll humor you for once. We used to be rivals, you know."
Aja sighed and hung up. In an instant, Magi-Chan showed up by my side. He pointed to a room marked "Boiler Room". "Are you crazy?" I asked. Magi-Chan just floated into the boiler room and gestured towards a machine... right on top of the electricity generator. Attached to it was a spherical device that had a timer on it. "Is that a bomb?" I asked. "No," Magi-Chan spoke up. "It's the machine that's making everyone emotionally compromised." "Well, that's one way to put it. We have to take it off of the generator, but we should be careful." I advised.
Too late. The generator was already lifted up into the air, with Magi-Chan trying to tip it over so the device could fall off and destroy itself. "You're nuts! Gravity doesn't work like that!" I cried, panicking. Magi-Chan shook his head and said, "You're right. Maybe you should destroy it." He lowered the generator back onto the ground. "Well, now what do we do?" I complained. Then, an idea hit me.
"That's it! If we destroy the generator, I could restart it again with my electric hedgehog powers!" I shouted, a gigantic smile crossing my face. "Are you okay with that?" Magi-chan smiled, as if to say "yes, you are." I nodded and began to run faster than I ever have before.
(POV: Aja)
The sound of an explosion filled the hall. Angelica collapsed on the ground. YES! They had done it! They had defeated the machine!
