The car ride was quiet except for the soft hum of the engine. Jungkook sat stiffly in his seat, his face still burning from everything that had happened. The kiss. The confession. He didn’t dare look at Taehyung, his fingers fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.

Taehyung smirked, stealing glances at Jungkook’s flushed face. “You’re red, bun,” he teased, his voice filled with amusement. “Should I turn the AC on?”

Jungkook’s lips pressed into a thin line, and after a moment, he hesitantly turned to face Taehyung. His big eyes were filled with uncertainty as he softly asked, “Did you… really mean it?”

Taehyung’s smirk faded into a gentle smile. Without taking his eyes off the road, he reached over and took Jungkook’s hand, squeezing it reassuringly. “Every word,” he said, his voice warm and sincere.

Jungkook’s heart skipped a beat, but before he could say anything else, the car slowed to a stop in front of a luxurious restaurant. He blinked in confusion, looking at Taehyung. “Why are we here?”

Taehyung unbuckled his seatbelt and opened his door. “We didn’t have dinner yet,” he answered casually. “And I don’t want you to sleep on an empty stomach.”

Jungkook followed him inside, eyes widening at the grand interior. They took the private elevator to the top floor, where the breathtaking view of the city stretched before them. The atmosphere was serene, the soft glow of candles reflecting off the glass walls.

Looking around, Jungkook noticed something odd. “Why is no one else here?”

Taehyung, who was now cutting his steak, looked up at him before holding out a piece of it in front of Jungkook’s lips. “Because this floor is private. No one’s allowed here.”

Jungkook blinked at Taehyung at the sudden gesture. “Then… why are we allowed?”

Taehyung’s lips twitched in amusement. “Because it belongs to me.”

A little 'oh' left Jungkook's mouth then he hesitated before leaning forward and eating the piece of steak from Taehyung’s fork, his cheeks growing warmer as Taehyung smirked at him.

They continued their dinner, the rich taste of the wine settling in Jungkook’s system. The warmth of the alcohol mixed with his exhaustion, making him feel slightly dizzy.

When they entered the elevator, Jungkook subconsciously leaned into Taehyung’s side, his head resting against the older’s shoulder. Taehyung glanced down at him, concern flashing in his eyes. “Bun, are you alright?”

Jungkook let out a sleepy hum, nodding. “Just… a little tired.”

The elevator doors opened, and before Jungkook could react, he was being lifted into Taehyung’s arms.

Jungkook gasped, his face turning red as he instinctively grabbed onto Taehyung’s shoulders. “W-Why do you like carrying people so much?” he mumbled.

Taehyung chuckled but didn’t answer, simply carrying him to the car with ease.

Once inside, Taehyung leaned in to buckle Jungkook’s seatbelt. Their faces were so close that Jungkook could feel Taehyung’s breath against his skin.

“Thank you… for standing up for me today,” Jungkook shyly murmured.

Taehyung’s fingers brushed against Jungkook’s chin as he tilted his face up slightly. “You deserve to be treated right, bun.”

Jungkook’s breath hitched. As Taehyung finished buckling the seatbelt, Jungkook quickly covered his face with his hands and whined, “D-Don’t suddenly do that!”
