In Selective Dissociative Amnesia, a person can forget about another individual and the memories associated with them, particularly if that person is tied to a traumatic or highly distressing event. The mind may suppress the memory of the person as part of a defense mechanism to protect the individual from psychological pain.
Recovery:
Memories related to the forgotten person can resurface through triggers, such as familiar environments, objects, or discussions.

It had been three weeks since Jungkook’s discharge, and while his physical wounds were healing, the emotional scars ran deep. Living in the sprawling mansion felt suffocating at times, especially with Taehyung hovering nearby, always watching, always trying. It confused Jungkook to no end.
He didn’t understand why Taehyung, a man he didn’t remember but who claimed to be his husband, seemed so determined to bridge a gap Jungkook couldn’t even see. There was a weight to Taehyung’s gaze, a desperation in his words, and it unsettled Jungkook more than he cared to admit.
That evening, Jungkook sat by the window in the study, his eyes fixed on the garden below. The moonlight illuminated the flowers in a pale glow, their gentle sway in the breeze offering a strange comfort.
The soft creak of the door broke his thoughts, and he turned to see Taehyung standing there.
“Junkook,” Taehyung called softly, his voice low and hesitant.
Jungkook straightened in his seat, instinctively wary. “Yes?”
Taehyung stepped into the room, his hands tucked into his pockets. He looked uncertain, a rare sight for someone who carried himself with such authority. “I was wondering… would you like to go for a walk with me? The garden looks beautiful under the moonlight.”
Jungkook blinked, surprised by the sudden offer. “A walk? Oh yeah you even asked morning right”
“Yeah,” Taehyung said quickly, as if afraid Jungkook might refuse. “It’s peaceful out there. It might help you relax.”
Jungkook hesitated. Being alone with Taehyung still felt strange, like stepping into uncharted territory. But the hopeful look in Taehyung’s eyes made him difficult to say no.
“Alright,” he said softly, rising to his feet.
Taehyung’s lips curved into a small, relieved smile. “This way,” he said, gesturing toward the door.

The garden was quiet, the cool night air brushing against their skin. They walked side by side along the winding path, the only sounds coming from the crunch of gravel underfoot and the occasional rustling of leaves.
Jungkook kept his gaze forward, his hands clasped in front of him. He didn’t know what to say, and Taehyung’s silence only added to his unease.
“Do you like the garden?” Taehyung asked suddenly, his voice breaking the quiet.
“It’s… nice,” Jungkook replied cautiously.
Taehyung nodded. “I used to come here to think,” he admitted, glancing at Jungkook. “It’s always been my favorite place to clear my mind.”
Jungkook hummed noncommittally, not sure how to respond.
They continued walking, and Taehyung stopped suddenly, turning to face Jungkook. “Jungkook,” he began, his tone earnest, “I know I’ve been… difficult to understand lately. I know I’ve hurt you in ways I can’t even imagine.”
