Jungkook’s eyes ached as he tried to open them. A sharp, throbbing pain pulsed behind his lids, but he forced them open slightly. Everything was blurry at first—shapes, colors, shadows all blending into a haze. But after a few slow blinks, the world began to sharpen.

His gaze roamed the unfamiliar room. He was lying on a bed… but something felt wrong. A deep groan left his lips as he attempted to sit up—but his body protested. When he lifted his hand to rub his eyes, he froze.

Cold steel clamped around his wrist.

He stared, wide-eyed.

Cuffed. Both his hands were cuffed tightly to the bed frame.

A sinking dread filled his chest. His gaze quickly dropped to his legs—and that’s when he saw it.

One of his legs was chained to the bottom of the bed.

His breath caught.

His eyes widened in horror. Panic surged through him like fire in his veins.

Suddenly—click.

The door creaked open.

Jungkook’s heart jumped at the sound. His head snapped toward the door, and the sight that met his eyes made his blood boil.

A figure stepped into the room with a smirk.

Jungkook’s expression twisted into anger the moment he recognized him.

Bogum.

His voice was raspy, dry from dehydration and exhaustion. “Why would you do this to me? What do you want from me?” he croaked.

Bogum’s smirk widened as he turned and locked the door behind him. Then he looked at Jungkook again, face calm, voice eerily soft.

“Kookie, you know the answer. And I never planned to do this to you... but—”

He began walking toward the bed, slowly, deliberately, stopping just a foot away.

His tone shifted into a mock sadness. “It’s your fault. You made me do it, baby.”

Jungkook frowned, confusion and fear mixing in his gaze. Bogum tilted his head slightly, then said with a sly grin, “Now, now, don’t be angry, baby. Look—I have a present for you.”

He pulled out his phone and, with a twisted smile, turned the screen toward Jungkook.

Jungkook’s breath hitched.

A fearful gasp escaped his lips as his eyes landed on the screen. His whole body froze.

Bogum watched with satisfaction as Jungkook’s expression crumbled. His mind went blank. His body began to tremble violently. Words were stuck in his throat. His heart twisted in unbearable pain.

Sweat beaded on his forehead.

His throat went painfully dry.

Tears started to flow uncontrollably from his reddened eyes.

Bogum leaned down and roughly grabbed Jungkook’s jaw. His voice dripped with menace. “This is what happens when you don’t obey, baby.”

Jungkook shut his eyes and sobbed. His heart shattered.

He couldn’t believe what he had just seen.

She didn’t deserve it.

It was never her fault.

She was innocent. She was kind. She had only tried to help him. She couldn’t die like this.

Yuri couldn’t die like this.
