After breakfast

Jungkook hesitated before looking at Taehyung. “Can I go to Yuri’s restaurant today?” he asked, hopeful yet nervous.

Taehyung frowned slightly. “Alone?”

Jungkook quickly nodded. “Yeah, I know you don’t like it, but I promise I’ll be careful. I just don’t want to stay home all day doing nothing.”

Before Taehyung could reply, Jimin, who had been listening, chimed in. “Come on, Tae, let him go. It’s just Yuri’s restaurant. He’ll be safe there.”

Taehyung sighed, running a hand through his hair. “It’s not about safety alone, Jimin. You know that.”

Jimin scoffed. “Yeah, yeah, we know you’re just being overprotective. But he’ll be fine. Right, Kookie?”

Jungkook quickly nodded. “Yes, I’ll be fine! I promise.”

Taehyung looked at Jungkook’s eager expression and sighed again. “Fine. But if anything happens, call me or message me immediately. Understood?”

Jungkook beamed. “Understood!”

With that, Jimin and Taehyung left for work, while Jungkook happily made his way to Yuri’s restaurant.

The moment Jungkook stepped into the restaurant, Yuri rushed over and pulled him into a warm hug.

“Oh, my dear! It’s been a while,” she said with a smile.

Jungkook chuckled. “It hasn’t been that long, Yuri.”

Yuri playfully smacked his arm. “For me, it has! Now come, let’s get to work.”

The day went by smoothly, and in the evening, while helping Yuri in the kitchen, Jungkook’s phone rang. As soon as he saw the caller ID, his cheeks turned pink.

Yuri, who noticed his sudden blush, frowned in curiosity. “Who is it?” she asked.

Jungkook didn’t answer. Instead, he shyly pressed the answer button and spoke softly. “Hello, Taehyung.”

Yuri’s frown vanished, replaced by a knowing smile.

On the other end of the line, Taehyung’s voice was calm but laced with concern. “Bun, have you had your lunch? Are you alright?”

Jungkook smiled at the affectionate nickname. “Yes, I’m fine.”

Just as he answered, his hand accidentally knocked over a bowl of hot soup, spilling it all over his white T-shirt. The sudden heat made him yelp and gasp.

“Ahh!” he winced, looking down at the mess.

Yuri, who had been a little far, quickly rushed to him. “Oh no, dear! Your T-shirt is all ruined, and I don’t have any spare clothes to give you.”

On the other end, Taehyung immediately tensed. “bun? What happened?”

Jungkook quickly grabbed a towel and tried to wipe himself. “It’s nothing! Just spilled soup on myself, that’s all.”

But Taehyung wasn’t convinced, especially when he overheard Yuri say, “What should we do? Your T-shirt is all stained and wet.”

Taehyung’s voice was firm. “Jungkook, tell me exactly what happened.”

Jungkook sighed. “I just spilled soup. It’s really nothing to worry about.”

There was silence for a moment before Taehyung finally hummed in response. “Alright. Be careful. I have to go now, but message me if you need anything.”
