After that day, time flowed like a gentle stream—quiet and comforting. Days turned into weeks, and slowly, Taehyung’s injured arm began to heal. The bandage came off, replaced by light stretches and careful movements. But what healed even more than his body was the quiet space between him and Jungkook.
Their bond grew, unspoken yet undeniable.
Taehyung, despite being buried in files and endless meetings, never let a single day go by without giving Jungkook a piece of his time. Whether it was a quiet dinner at the long dining table, a walk in the garden under soft moonlight, or simply lying in bed listening to Jungkook’s sleepy rambles—he was there. Always.
Jungkook, in return, found himself smiling more. Laughing without realizing. His heart no longer heavy with confusion. He liked it—the care, the attention, the way Taehyung looked at him like he mattered. It was soft, not overwhelming. Like being wrapped in a warm blanket on a cold day.
He was happy. Not entirely whole, not completely healed—but happy.
And Taehyung could see that. In the way Jungkook no longer flinched when he reached out to touch his hand. In the way Jungkook sometimes leaned his head on his shoulder during quiet evenings. In the way Jungkook's laughter started sounding more and more like music again.
Their past was still there—lingering, painful, unresolved. But in the present, they were building something new.
Something fragile.
Something precious.
Something theirs.

It was the weekend—quiet, peaceful, slow.
Sunlight streamed softly through the curtains, casting a golden glow over the bedroom. Jungkook stirred gently under the covers, his eyes fluttering open. The first thing he saw was Taehyung’s sleeping face—calm, relaxed, beautiful in the morning light.
Even after all these days of sharing the same bed, waking up like this still made Jungkook's heart race. A soft blush crept up his cheeks, and he turned slightly on his side, eyes tracing the lines of Taehyung’s face.
His hand moved before he could stop it, fingers brushing along Taehyung's sharp jawline, down the bridge of his nose. He paused at Taehyung’s lips, gaze lingering. His heart thumped loudly in his chest, and he swallowed hard.
He didn’t know why, but this time, the feeling inside him was too strong to resist. Leaning in slowly, Jungkook gently pressed a soft peck against Taehyung’s lips. Just a second.
But before he could pull away completely, he heard a low, teasing voice—
“So this is what you do in the morning?”
Jungkook froze, his eyes widening in shock as Taehyung cracked one eye open with a smirk.
“Y-You weren’t sleeping?!” Jungkook stammered, his face turning crimson as he pulled the blanket over his head in embarrassment.
Taehyung chuckled, voice raspy from sleep. “I was,” he said, stretching lazily, “until a little thief snuck in and stole something from me.”
Jungkook let out a muffled squeak beneath the blanket.
Taehyung reached over and gently tugged the blanket down just enough to see Jungkook’s eyes. “Don’t hide,” he whispered, a soft smile tugging at his lips. “You looked so pretty blushing like that.”
Jungkook pouted, cheeks still flushed. “You’re so annoying sometimes,” he mumbled.
“But you still kissed me,” Taehyung teased, brushing Jungkook’s hair back.
Jungkook turned to the side, pretending to sulk. Taehyung just laughed, then pulled him close into his chest, his chin resting on top of Jungkook’s head.
