Jin looked at Jungkook gazing out the window, his expression distant and clouded. With a gentle smile, he leaned forward, resting his hand on the younger arm.

“You’ve been thinking too much again, haven’t you, Kookie?” Jin asked softly.

Jungkook blinked, startled, and turned to him. “I just… there’s so much I don’t understand, hyung. I’ve been resting for weeks, and it feels like all I do is think. It’s exhausting.”

Jimin’s eyes lit up at this, and he clapped his hands together with excitement. “Then let’s do something fun! Let’s go out! Shopping, a café, a park—anywhere you want, Jungkook.”

Jungkook hesitated, glancing between them. “Go out? I don’t know…”

“Come on, Kookie,” Jimin urged, practically bouncing in his seat. “You’ve been cooped up for too long. It’ll be good for you to get some fresh air. Besides, I’ll make sure you have the best time ever!”

Jin chuckled at Jimin’s enthusiasm and turned to Jungkook. “He’s right, you know. A change of scenery might help. You don’t have to decide right away, but it’s something to think about.”

After a moment of silence, Jungkook nodded slowly. “Alright. I guess we could go out for a little while.”

“Yes!” Jimin pumped his fist in victory. “Let’s make a plan! First a café stop, then some shopping, and at last maybe a park stroll. It’ll be perfect!”

Jin raised a hand, stopping Jimin’s excitement. “Hold on. We need to ask Taehyung first.”

At this, the room fell silent.

Jimin groaned, leaning back scoffing “Why? We’re adults. Do we really need his permission?”

“Because he’s Jungkook’s husband, and our boss ,also he’ll want to know where he’s going,” Jin explained patiently. “And let’s be honest, he’ll notice if Jungkook suddenly disappears with us for hours.”

The three of them exchanged glances, the atmosphere growing tense with unspoken dread.

“Who’s going to tell him?” Jimin finally asked.

“I’m not doing it,” Jin said quickly, shaking his head.

“Me neither!” Jimin exclaimed, crossing his arms.

Their eyes slowly turned to Jungkook, who blinked in surprise. “What? Why me?”

“Because he won’t say no to you,” Jin said simply.

“Yeah,” Jimin added.

Jungkook sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Fine, I’ll do it. But if he gets mad, I’m blaming both of you.”

Jimin gave him a thumbs-up. “Deal!”

Jungkook found Taehyung in his study, pouring over some documents. The older man looked up when Jungkook entered, his expression softening slightly.

“ bu—Jungkook,” Taehyung greeted, setting his papers aside. “Is something wrong?”

Jungkook hesitated at the doorway, feeling nervous under Taehyung’s intense gaze. But he took a deep breath, reminding himself that this was no big deal.

“Um, I wanted to ask if I could go out,” Jungkook said cautiously.

Taehyung’s brows furrowed. “Out? Where?”

“With Jin and Jimin,” Jungkook clarified. “Maybe to a café or something. Just for a little while.”

Taehyung leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable. “Why? Are you unhappy here?”
