Sabrina's POV:

"I don't have fucking blueberries." I let out an irritated grumble under my breath as I frantically rummaged through the contents of my fridge, which was embarrassingly empty since I'd been away for so long. The shelves were nearly barren, save for a few half-empty containers and some wilted greens I had barely touched. Despite the disappointment in front of me, though, I couldn't help but hold onto a sliver of hope that maybe—just maybe—I'd find something to work with.
It had been nearly a week since we'd had any time off from the tour, and my team and I had taken full advantage of the break to fly back to LA. The purpose of the trip? To shoot and pre-record my Netflix Christmas Special, which was scheduled for today. And naturally, I wasn't about to do any of this alone. Naturally, I brought Y/N along to stay at my place here with me.
Because honestly, why wouldn't I bring my girlfriend?
The truth is, I can't imagine being apart from her for a second. The thought of spending this time or any time without her just wasn't an option. And besides, it's our one-month anniversary today. I wasn't going to let that slip by unnoticed.
But here I am, pacing around my kitchen, stressing over the simplest of things—fruit. I had planned to get up at the crack of dawn to make her a special breakfast. Blueberry pancakes. I wanted to recreate the same recipe we'd made together that morning in New York at her place, after we shared our first kiss. It was the morning after I realized just how sure I was that I wanted to pursue her, the moment everything started falling into place. That memory was still fresh in my mind, and I wanted to relive it by making her a thoughtful breakfast to celebrate this milestone of ours. My sweet girl..
God, I'm such a sap.
But only for her. Always. She's my everything.
"You could always DoorDash." Taylor's voice interrupted my spiraling thoughts, cutting through the static of my internal frustration. She'd been on a FaceTime call with me for the past 45 minutes, and for some reason, she was awake this early—something about her "5 a.m. yoga routine" or whatever it was.
Oh to be Taylor Swift.
I exhaled sharply, puffing my lips as I stood up from my squatted position and shut the fridge door, annoyed with myself for not being more prepared. I reached for my phone, brushing Taylor's face off the screen for a moment as my fingers hurriedly swiped to the DoorDash app.
"You think they're delivering this early?" I asked, smiling to myself as I noticed Erewhon was already open.
"It's 7 a.m., Sabrina. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of drivers out and about," Taylor replied, a soft laugh in her voice.
I paused, letting her words sink in. She was right, of course there's drivers out this early..it's LA.
Despite having woken up at 6 a.m., the time had already slipped to 7, and I had barely even started working on the pancakes. "I really hope she doesn't wake up early. I want this to be a surprise.." I exhaled a defeated sigh, reluctantly tapping the app and placing my order. Along with the blueberries, I added a jar of fresh maple syrup, making sure to request an expedited delivery.
Before I even had a chance to exit the app, I was met with Taylor's face on my screen again. She wore a playful, knowing smile, her eyes twinkling as if she were waiting for me to say something.
