Y/N's POV

"Here's your Feather shot," I said with a smile, sliding the filled shot glass across the bar to the redhead in front of me. The upbeat, pulsing beats of Sabrina's "Feather" blared from the speakers below us, adding a surreal touch to the moment. Oddly enough, I'd managed to pull in a few customers during Sabrina's performance, which had been a pleasant surprise. It was nice to be kept busy while she sang her heart out.

I was already having the time of my life, and it was only the first night.

"Thanks!" the girl chirped with a grin, her eyes lighting up as she took the receipt from my Square reader. But then, just as she glanced up at me, her expression shifted into something thoughtful. "Wait a second... weren't you Sabrina's Juno the other night? I swear I saw a clip of you on TikTok."

I could feel a warm blush creeping up the back of my neck, and a shy grin tugged at the corner of my lips. I let out a light laugh, trying to play it cool.

"Yeah, that was me," I replied, the words coming out with just a hint of nervousness.

The girl's eyes widened in recognition. "I knew it!" she exclaimed, pointing a finger at me, then immediately knocking back the shot I had just prepared for her. She set the empty glass back on the bar with a soft clink and pushed it toward me. "She was all over you, girl... it felt a little too real, to be honest."

If only she knew.

I grabbed the empty glass with a grin, trying my best to look casual as I headed toward the sink to rinse it out. "She's a great actress, that's for sure," I said, though my voice cracked a bit more than I intended. My mind raced for a second—was my response convincing enough?

To my relief, the girl didn't seem to notice anything off. She just nodded enthusiastically, agreeing with me before tossing me a playful wave. "You're cool, girl. Take care!" she said, moving away and disappearing back down the stairs of the venue seats.

I waved back, feeling a small sense of relief wash over me. As she moved away, the bar momentarily quieted, and I found myself standing there with just the low hum of Sabrina's voice filling the space. It was a rare lull—a precious moment when the bar was empty of customers—and I leaned against the counter, the black hand towel casually draped over my shoulder. I took a deep breath, letting myself enjoy the rare solitude.

It was just me, the dim lights of the bar, and the lingering echo of Sabrina's song. For the first time in a while, I felt like everything was in perfect sync. I couldn't help but grin softly, savoring the moment before I dimly heard footsteps approaching me.

"Sup, hottie."

I whipped my head around at the familiar voice, and there she was—Paloma, walking toward me with that signature confident stride of hers, a playful grin stretched across her lips. She had that magnetic energy that made it hard not to smile when she was around. I couldn't help but return the grin as she slid onto the stool in front of me at the bar.

"Better not let Brina catch you calling me that," I teased, watching as Paloma's eyes sparkled mischievously in response.

She leaned in a little, her gaze playful as she shot me a coy look, narrowing her eyes just enough to make it obvious she wasn't bothered by the thought. "Bitch, you think she could hear me right now?" she asked, flicking her head toward the chaos behind her—Sabrina's voice echoing through the stadium, the whole arena packed with fans, their energy vibrating through the walls. The music was roaring, and the crowd was wild.
