"It's here. Click it! Click it!" Karma was sitting next to me in front of the PC.
"Alright!" I moved the cursor to where it said, 'SHOW RESULT'. My finger rested on the cursor.
It still rested there.
And it was still there without me clicking on it.
"Oi. Still breathing?" He waved his hand in front of my eyes.
"Yeah..." I stared at the screen as if it would bring me death.
"Just click it already."
"Nooope. I can't do this." I almost bit my nail. "Click yours first."
"Not before you. Remember? You before me." He winked.

"It doesn't apply to this case." I narrowed my eyes on him.
Karma and I had already been together for seven whole years now and only this year we had appeared for the Civil Services Exam. Of course, we decided to give it in the same year because giving it at separate times wouldn't let us compete with each other. And wouldn't let us have a fair bet over who gets the better score on the exam.
"Of course it does. I'll put you before myself everywhere." He grinned and placed his hand on mine, trying to snatch the mouse from me.
"But babe, I will also put you before myself, always." I smiled with gritted teeth, trying to keep the mouse in my hands.
"Y/N. Dodge this." He smirked at me.
I tilted my head in confusion. Dodge? But there's nothing to dodge here-
Karma suddenly leaned in and pressed his soft lips against mine. His warm kiss was enough to catch me off guard. My grip on the mouse loosened for about half a second.
He smirked against my lips and quickly snatched the mouse away from me, "Thanks, babe."
I blinked, heat rushing to my cheeks, "You cheat."
"It still worked." He gave me a wink before clicking on my result.
