[Update (2016): I changed the house]
Chapter 3
I have an hour before the car comes to pick me up, and I'm currently running around like a maniac. I told my mom I got the job as soon as I went downstairs. She was confused at first but I later explained that I had applied for a job and she was the most happiest I've seen her in days.
I went up to my room and went to my bathroom. I took a shower, did my makeup and my hair. Nothing too fancy, mostly casual with a pop of jewelry.
I grabbed a pair of dark skinny jeans, my white shirt, my adidas superstar, paired with a gold triangle necklace.
I grabbed my bag and filled it with the stuff I needed. I was informed that I would have everything I need at the house, to not worry which was cool by me. The less, the better.
I jogged downstairs and shouted goodbye to my mom as I swung open the front door. Suddenly, My eyes were met with a big black ranger rover parked right outside my house.
Woah.
The tinted window pulled down to show a handsome guy with goldish locks. He had a black suit on, from what I saw with no tie.
"Jennifer Monroe?"
"Please, call me Jenn." I made my way around the car and asked if I could sit in the passenger seat since he seemed like a taxi driver, but way fancier.
He nodded his head allowing me and I literally hopped in because of how high the car was.
The tinted windows were definitely giving celebrity vibes, Then I remembered I could never be one.

"So..." I sparked conversation since it's been about 10 minutes into this drive and it was silent. "How long have you been... A personal driver?"
He chuckled a little at my sudden question but the sound of him laughing made the atmosphere less awkward.
"About five years now." my jaw literally dropped when I heard that. Seriously who is this guy?
"Do you think you can um, tell me about this Lans guy? Is he scary? I mean he has a personal driver which means he has power and power always equals mean." I rambled.
I heard a faint laugh on my left.
"Don't laugh at me." I jokingly whined with a half smirk.
"He's gonna love you." he said with a calming laugh to calm me down. Which it did... A little.
I was still shítting bricks.... Just lesser bricks.

10 more minutes went by and my butt was starting to ache. The radio station kept repeating the same music over and over which was exhausting.
"Can you pass the aux cord?" I asked and waited for him to give me it, or at least point to where it was since he was driving. I realized he wasn't moving and I was really bored so I kept asking.
"Pleeeease." I whined. If I was going to be stuck in a car with him, I wanted to at least enjoy myself.
He leaned his arm in front of me, reaching for the glove compartment, then pulled out a black cord.
I searched through my phone for good music.
