After everything that happened with Lans, I stayed out of his way. Of course, he's still my job which meant I still had a job to go to. Thankfully, by the time I got to the house, he was already gone for work so there wasn't much tension.
Nonetheless, the day was pretty smooth. Dave wasn't being a dick towards me anymore. I'm pretty sure it's cause he saw me about to cry that day Lans and I got in our little secret fight, or it was probably because he got over the whole "stress reliever" thing.
"Damn UCLA is pretty big." I said in awe. I was on their website looking, still questioning if this was a school I was interested in going to.
"Well I'm bigger." Dave joked. We were both in the kitchen while Danielle took her regular afternoon nap.
"Doubt it." I fired back.
"You're one to talk. You'd be dead meat if you were in the football field with me." Dave boosted. Like if he was hulk or something.
'He may have the muscles but it doesn't mean he's the strongest'
"You know, I'm much stronger than I look." I lied. I'm as strong as a hamster, and that's low key offensive to the hamster.
"Really?" He sounded more interested. Like if he had something in mind. I didn't want to show any weakness so I continued.
'Stupid move.'
"Yup." I said leaning on the island in the kitchen. I laid my chin on my palm and watched him think.
"Alright, lets put it to the test."
"W-what?" I asked leaning off, no matter how comfortable I was leaning down.
"Come with me to the field on Saturday. If you make it across the field without me tackling you, I'll do whatever you want me to do."
'Anything? I'll probably make him clean the dishes. He absolutely HATES washing them'
"I mean you don't babysit and don't have plans on Saturday, so it'll be perfect."
"Hey! You don't know if I have plans!"
"Do you?" He asked in a teasing way. This was the time where I wished I did have plans so I could prove him wrong... But I didn't.
"No." I whisper in annoyance. It just so happened that this weekend I was free. But on a daily, I'm not. I SWEAR IT!
He chuckled and threw his football in the air then caught it with ease. Don't even ask me why he has the football because he hasn't even been playing football today.
"Okay Saturday." he announced and then walked out the swinging kitchen doors.
'Saturday will be my last day on earth'

[Saturday]
"Come on, it's not that big." he shouted from outside the changing rooms. He was forcing me to put on all this football gear like if I wasn't a tiny human being.
"No but it's uncomfortable." I whined.
"Well do you wanna crack your skull when I tackle you?" I poked my head out of the door and gave Dave a killer glare.
"You're not gonna tackle me." I challenged. I had it already set in my mind that all I have to do is run for my life. Run.
"Well the deal is, if you-"
