"A-and then he called me a slut." I said through tears."Jenn, it'll be okay. He was just in his feelings." Julia said rubbing my back. I started calming down my cries and sobs and just laid my head on Julia's lap.
"So, are you really going to go to college?" She asked after I was cool, calm, and collected.
"I don't know. I have eighteen grande left and still need twenty-two grande if I want to finish paying off everything so I don't have any debt."
"Have you thought about loans?"
"No, I get paid twenty grande for babysitting, I was sure I would be fine with what Lans was paying me."
"Stop counting on Lans, get the rest of the college money yourself." she said confidently. I sat up on my bed and shrugged. My eyes were heavy from all the crying but I sucked it up. This conversation was important.
"Well where do I get the loans?"
"Check online dummie."
I smile at her meanness and leaned over to my night stand and got my laptop. I searched on google and a couple of website links popped up.
"Check there" she pointed. The link was from Coca-Cola.
"What are you thirsty or something?"
"No, my cousin was talking about this the other day. Supposably coca-cola is desperate for future college kids."
"What?" I said through chuckles. Coca-Cola, desperate? What soda brand is desperate?
"Yeah, I heard it helps with sponsors and helps them get noticed. It's a win-win situation."
"Oh." I nodded in understanding. They give you money for college and they get publicity, everyone wins.
I started looking through the page and found a 'sign up' button. I clicked it and started filling out the form until I got to the option of the college I was interested in.
Should I go to the same college as Lans or my dream college?
I typed in the college and looked over at Julia who had a smile on her face.
"Well aren't you committed to this college thing"
"I am"
"Well I'm here for you.... AHH! MY BEST FRIEND'S GOING TO COLLEGE!" She yelled.
"Julia, inside voices!" My mom shouted. We both laughed and laid back on my bed.

"I wish camp was longer" Dan whined with eating his lunch. It's been a week since I sent in the request and haven't gotten anything back. I'm starting to think they didn't choose me. Dan has been complaining about wanting to go back to camp for a while.
I mean, I would . With the problems this family is going through, I can kind of see it rubbing off on the kids. Constantly misses the other parent and not seeing them together in the same room anymore can definitely take a toll on them.
I would want to find an escape too. I guess camp was Dans escape.
"Well there's always next summer" I shrug popping a piece of chicken with Alfredo sauce in my mouth.
We were all eating chicken Alfredo pasta while sitting down together in the dining room table. It took some time but I got the kids to get used to sitting together for dinner. I swear these kids would eat like they were by themselves and not say a word.
"That's too long! Gosh I wish summer was longer" he whined longer.
"It's funny because that's what I said every year... Don't worry kid, you got like eight or nine more years left" Dave joked.
