Okay so just saying, Dave is going through a faze of 'healing' and maybe 'numbness' where he doesn't care about anything... So you might hate him temporarily... Okay cool :)
-I turned up the volume on the tv higher so the sounds of Teen Wolf could over power the headboard sounds and the exaggerated moans coming from upstairs.
Guess Dave really did find his stress reliever... I still can't believe he'd do this while Danielle was sleeping.
Dan started his little day summer camp so that meant he's usually be home a few minutes before Lans was.
Lans.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a door open. Dave walked by the living room not noticing me. I heard him go in the kitchen and come back out, this time he did noticed me.
"Oh I didn't know you were here." he said nonchalantly like if I wasn't just hearing him shout very inappropriate things in his room.
"I babysit your sister. You know the one upstairs who has to deal with those inappropriate sounds."
"Sucks for her doesn't it? You know what, I'll try to be quieter. I can't promise it though." he said with a smirk.
"Well, aren't you so kind?" I said with a fake smile. He went back upstairs and all I could do was hope and pray that Danielle couldn't hear those sounds three rooms down from hers.
________
The sounds ended twenty minutes ago and Danielle woke up five minutes ago. I instantly asked her if she heard anything, thankfully she's a deep sleeper and didn't.
Then, I heard a car door close. . . Martha walked in, in a rush weirdly.
"Oh hi hun, be right back." she said before rushing up stairs.
"Where's mommy going?" Danielle asked in a yawn. She was still in the mist of fully waking up.
"I have no clue." I said truthfully. Martha came down minutes ago with a bag. She rushed to me and Danielle.
"Dan will be here in a little and he'll probably be starving so today there will be an exception for pizza since I don't have time to cook. How much is it? Like 100 dollars?"
I didn't know what surprised me more, was that I almost got fired one time because she freaked for me giving them pizza, now she's willingly allowing me to.
Not only that but, she thinks pizza is $100. If pizza was $100 I wouldn't eat it. I'm well— well was, broker than a homeless person.
"No, I'll only need twenty dollars." I said while she went through her wallet. A wallet full on hundreds and fifties. She gave me a look, the same one I gave her when she thought pizza cost $100.
She shrugged and got out a fifty dollar bill.
She kissed Danielle in the forehead and rushed out the living room. I furrowed my eyebrows and rushed after her.
"Mrs. Davis!" I hollered before she could leave. She turned around and faced me.
"Please, call me Martha. I won't be a Davis any time soon." she mumbled the last part. My heart almost went out to her until I realized it was her choice to ruin everything.
"Why are you in such a rush?" I asked.
She waited a couple of seconds before answering, "Well Lans will be home in a little and I don't have the dignity to face him after I broke his heart."
