Chapter 8: Cells, Flirts, and Fortune Tellers. Oh my!
Alia's P.O.V.
I opened my eyes and the first thing I see are steel bars. Another cell, seriously?! I started to sit up, but my head was pounding. Great, now I'm cold and have a migraine. Wait... How come I'm not dead? If they didn't kill me, what did they do?
"Alia?" I heard a familiar voice whisper.
"Tyler?" I whispered back.
"So, your finally awake." He stated, no longer whispering.
"Well, obviously."
"Sorry... it's just, you've been asleep for awhile and for some reason you randomly sat up, looked around and went back to sleeping."
"It's okay. Sorry for being rude. Wait.... did I really do that?"
"Yup." Tyler chuckled.
We both laughed together for awhile until I remember that we were in a cell, in a dungeon, where we were prisoners of people from The Kingdom, the very same people who want to take over the world. My head started to throb again.
"We need to find a way out of here, before they come back. We have to let the others know what these people are doing." I stated, sobering up from our laughing fit.
"Fay got away. She'll warn everyone. Besides, how would we escape?" Tyler asked.
"She could have gotten captured, plus we don't want more people being captured because they went looking for us. And, to answer your question, I don't exactly have a plan yet. Care to help?" I asked.
"Okay. The...."
"Shhh!" I interrupted him when I heard a door open.
The man from earlier appeared. It looked like he was dragging a body. He put the body in another cell and locked the door. Oh no! That 'body' was Ross! The man looked over at me, smiled creepily and walked over to my cell.
"Well, hello gorgeous." Liam said. Or, at least I think that was his name. Okay give me a break. I heard his name like once and I got knocked out afterward.
"Remember me from earlier? I'm Leon." He continued. So, I was close.
"I have a few questions." He stated and took out a piece of paper from his pocket.
"Do you have a map?" He asked. Why would he ask that? They took away my map and other supplies when we were first taken to this stupid place!
"Because I just keep getting lost in your eyes." He continued, still having a creepy smile on his face. Wait... what? Is he seriously hitting on me?
"Are you a parking ticket? Because you got fine written all over you." He recited another pick up line. Someone, please help me!
"Did it hurt...." Oh no! No, no, no! It's so old. Has it ever worked? "... when you fell from heaven." Why couldn't they have just killed me?
"I know I don't have a chance, but I want to hear an angel talk." When does this torture end?
"Okay, just forget about these pick up lines," He said, putting the paper back in his pocket. I wish I could forget the last two excruciating minutes of my life. He continued, "Whenever you prove your loyalty to Maya, do you want to go out on a date with me?" I looked into his hopeful eyes and smiled innocently.
"I'm sorry, but I don't date outside my species." I replied in a sweet tone. And just like that, I shattered his only hope of going on a date with me. He was about to respond, but another man walked into the dungeon.
