Best Friend?

Chapter 2

-Annalise-

I woke up at noon today. I wonder why I slept so late. I noticed I had a thousand messages from Hayes. I decided I wouldn't read them right now and I would later. I need to shower. I have a date in less than 3 hours. I need to hurry.

After my shower, I did my makeup and picked out an outfit. I put on my leggings and my "Cat Hair is Lonely People's Glitter" shirt. It's my favorite. Hayes got it for me, for Christmas last year. I decided to check the messages.

H: Annalise, answer me.
H: Why didn't you tell me?
H: ANNALISE TAYLOR PRICE
H: God Damn it!
H: Anna fucking lise
H: Annna
H: Anna I'm sorry
H: ANNA I'M SO SORRY
H: I shouldn't of overreacted

I kept ignoring him. He hurt me. He doesn't understand the fact I don't have a father figure, when he has two. He doesn't understand that my mother had the choice to put me in foster care for 2 years. It's not my fault I've been all over the place. It's not like you can meet a lot of guys, when you move EVERYWHERE.

I checked the clock after reviewing my thoughts. It's 2:55. Matt should be here soon. Right after I checked the clock the doorbell rang. I answered it and it was Matt. "Hi." I smiled. "Hello." Matt replied. I grabbed my coat walked to his car.

"Where are we going?" I asked him. "Well, I thought we could go bowling." He said and I nodded. He pulled into Paulette's Bowling and Food. It's sounds fun. I haven't lived in North Carolina long but, I do know that Paulette's is the best.

We walked in and told the lady our shoe sizes. "You're going down, Anna." Matt sounded over confident. "What's your last name?" I asked. As I asked him, someone pushed me closer to him. "Eager are we, Price?" He joked and I blushed. "My last name is Espinosa." He tried to sound tough. "Well, you're going down, Espinosa." I did sound tough.

I rolled my ball down the track and got a perfect strike. "Beat that." I whispered in his ear and sat down. I took a sip of my sprite. "Do you like it?" Matt asked sitting down. I shook my head. "Why not?" He asked. "I only like sprite from McDonald's. What do you have?" I asked, looking at his cup. "Dr. Pepper. Want to try it?" He looked at Me and I nodded. I took a sip and it was amazing.

I ended up beating Matt and getting like 5 cups of Dr. Pepper. Matt dropped me off at home an hour ago. Matt will be going to Virginia when school starts. We get to spend all summer together. I'm so happy.

I'm super bored and there's nothing to do. Wait, I can go riding. Mom's not home so I left her a note telling her where I was, just in case if she comes home before me. I don't have any other friends besides a Hayes. I went riding by myself.

I was riding when I found myself on the ground. "I'm so sorry." I heard a girl's voice. I looked up to see a young girl, my age. She has blond, wavy hair. She has caramel eyes that make you melt. "No it's my fault. I should've of been looking." I frowned. "I'm Kalyn. You can call me Kaye." She smiled. "I'm Annalise. Call me Anna." I smiled back. We exchanged numbers and went off on our seperate ways.

My phone buzzed and it was Hayes. He's calling me. "Hello?" I tried to sound annoyed. "Where in fucks sake are you?" He seemed worried. "None of your business. Why? Shouldn't you be with Madi? Oh wait. I wouldn't know. I've never liked anyone and I'm a clingy friend." I spat and hung up. I'm not in the mood to talk to a jerk.

I kept riding until I reached my house. Once, I got home Kaye texted me. I think her and I are going to be great friends, if not great, then just friends.

K: Hey! Wanna sleep over tonight? My brother isn't home

A: Sure. Let me ask my Mom.

"Mom!" I yelled. I saw she was in the living room. "Can I spend the night at my New friend Kalyn's?" I asked her and she nodded. I ran upstairs and packed my clothing.

Kaye texted me the address and I rode my bike there. "Hi." I was greeted by Cameron. "Hey Cam. I'm here for Kaye." I smiled. Which she was behind him. "You know Cameron?" She asked. "Yeah. He's friends with a friend of mine." I replied. "I thought he was your best friend." Cam said confused. "Key word 'was.'" I walked in the beautiful house.

"This place is gorgeous!" I said, admiring the paintings. "My room is upstairs." She smiled and we walked upstairs. After a while, we really got to know each other. She and I both hate Madison Beer. That's not the only thing we have in common. We get bitchy a lot. Especially, when we're on our period.

"Hey, some friends of mine are here and we want to play truth or dare with you. They all flew in for this so please?" Cameron asked and we nodded. I walked downstairs and saw Hayes. God, should I still be mad? "Kaye, you've met everyone here. Anna, these are my friends, Taylor, Matt, Aaron, Jack G, Jack J, Carter, and you know Nash and Hayes." Cam smiled. Matt. I know him.

I took a seat next to Matt. "Hey there." I said, smiling. "Hey." He smiled back. "Let's play!" Nash yelled. God, this kid is loud. "I'll start." Cam gave an evil laugh. "Nash, truth or dare?" He stared at him. "Dare." Nash returned the stare. "I dare you to kiss Anna on the lips for 30 seconds." Cam poked him. Why was Cam so detailed? I've got a feeling this was planned.

Nash came over and planted his lips on mine. It felt like forever. Why would Nash want to kiss me? Maybe this wasn't planned. All I know is that I have feelings for Matt, Not Nash. "Anna, truth or dare?" Nash asked me. "Truth." I said shyly. "First one of the night. Who do you like?" He asked me. "His name is Mark. He lives in Virginia. His middle name is Lee." I lied. "YOU LIKE MATT!" Nash yelled in Cam's face. The night was crazy. Not sure of much.
