Best Friend?

Chapter 25

- Annalise -

     I woke up at 7. Lori and Cass were still asleep. I decided to play on my phone. "Shit." I cursed. I accidentally died. "What happened? Did your phone fall on your face?" Cass asked. "No but, you wish it did." I stuck my tongue out at her.

    I got out of my bed on walked into the bathroom. I'm going to school here. TODAY. I got into the shower. I didn't lock the door. Lori and Cass can come in. It's fine with me. I heard the door open. It's Cass. "Hey Cass." I said. "Hi A." She smiled. I finished my shower and dried off in the shower.

     I put on my bra and underwear in the shower. I came out of the shower and brushed my teeth. I walked back into the room. I got out my outfit. I was wearing my high waisted leggings, with my "Nashty" shirt and my combat boots.

    I walked back into the bathroom and put my hair into a messy bun. I put on my glasses since, I had to buy more contacts. I walked back into the room and met up with Lori. Lori's nickname is Leddy. We call her that because, she looks just like Leddy from "All You've Got"

    "You look really pretty." Lori said. "Awh. Thanks." I smiled. We walked downstairs. The school is just around the corner so, we walked. Lori and I walked into the principal's office. "Hi. I'm new." I said. "Oh. Hello. Name?" Mrs. Lawrence said. "Annalise Johnson." I said. "There is no one by that name." She smiled, vaguely. "Oh. Maybe Annalise Price." I hated saying Annalise Price. He lied about me being his daughter. "Here's your schedule." She said, handing me a whitish colored paper.

    Lori looked at my schedule. "You have all the same classes with me!" She squealed. "Good. Now, show me where Mr. Thompson's room is." I said. We walked to the room and I frowned. "Why, Hello Lauren. And?" Mr. Thompson, I'm guessing smiled. "I'm Annalise." I smiled. "Well, Annalise. You can sit by Liz over there." He said, pointing to a blonde haired girl. "Hi. I'm Annalise." I smiled. "Hey. I'm Liz." She said, before turning her head back to the board.

     Turns out Liz and I have a lot of classes together. We've become really close. She even invited me to her friend group. Lori said she's friends with Liz too. I sat down at the table. Liz sat next to me. "Ooh. So, any cute guys from where you're from?" She asked me. "Well, there's this one guy." I smiled. "Ooh. What's his name?" She wiggled her eyebrows, pulling out her phone. "Hayes Grier." I told her before pulling out my phone.

       I tweeted that. Referring to Hayes. I hope he knows it's about him. I scrolled through Twitter.

     Good. He knew it was about him. Liz looked at me. "Who you tweeting 'bout?" She asked. "Um...Hayes." I said. "Are you guys dating?" She asked again. I wish. "No. Good friends." I said. "You like him more than that." She teased me. "So?" I asked. She just laughed. "Thank you, Liz." I said.

     I turned back to my food. I didn't even touch it. I usually skip lunch. I eat breakfast and dinner. I got up and threw my lunch away. "You wasted a perfect lunch." A kid said to me. "I wasn't hungry." I told him. "What's your name?" He asked me. "I'm Annalise." I smiled. "Parker." He smiled. He was cute. "I haven't seen you around here." He smiled. Again. "I'm new." I said. "New girl. I like it." He laughed and turned back to his friends. I walked back to Liz.

    "Liz, who is Parker?" I asked, pointing to him. "That's Parker Addams. He's a major player. Stay away." She warned me. I looked back at Parker. He winked at me. I rolled my eyes. He gave me a questioning look. I rolled my eyes again and walked to my next class.

     "Hey Grandma Wiwi?" I called. "Yes Baby?" She replied. "Why do guys do what they do?" I asked her. "What do you mean?" She looked at me. "Why would guys hurt other girls? Why do they act like a Player? Why do they lie?" I got a little overwhelmed. "What happened?" She asked. "My first boyfriend cheated on me. My second hurt me. A guy tried to get in my pants today and David Price lied to me and Amanda Jones lied to me." I sighed. "Baby, people are stupid." She kissed my forehead and continued dinner.

     Cass walked in with a smile on her face. "What?" I asked her. "Cameron asked me out!" She yelled. "I'm so happy for you!" I told her and walked upstairs. I got out my book. It's called Why Bother Trying? I love it. I've read it 5 times.

I walked into my room. I grabbed my phone and threw it across the room. "Why?" I yelled. "Why did he have to hurt me?" I screamed. Brandon walked into my room. "Britney, why are you yelling?" He asked me. "Jaxon hurt me. He straight up screwed another girl. Actually, I'm not sure if it's a girl or not." I told him. His eyes saddened. "Its wasn't a girl." He sighed. I gave him a puzzled look. "It was me. I'm so sor-"

    "Girls! Dinner!" Grandma Wiwi yelled. I never even got to finish my chapter. It's okay. I walked downstairs. Tonight's dinner was homemade Mac N' Cheese. My favorite. I sat down next to Darnell. He's my cousin. He's about 11. Not sure. I dug into my food.

    "Thanks for dinner." I said, putting my plate in the sink. "No problem babe." Grandma Wiwi said. I walked upstairs to my room. Cass was having dinner with Cameron. Probably getting laid too. I brushed my teeth and put my pajamas on. I scrolled through Twitter for a bit.
