Chapter 13

- Annalise -

Today is the day. The day I leave for Johnson's home in Omaha. Worst fucking decision my mom could've EVER made. Mrs. Johnson is a nice lady and her son Jack is nice too. I'm on the plan with Jack and Jack right now. Jack G, dreamy and Jack J, brotherly. I'm stuck in between them.

The plane ride is almost over. Just as I got home, I have to leave again. "Anna, you seem sad." Gilinksy said. "Don't you like us?" Johnson frowned. "It's not that. I just miss Hayes. He's my best friend." I told them and they nodded. "Please fasten your seatbelts. We are preparing to land. I need all electronics turned off." The flight attendant said and I put my laptop in my bag. I fastened my seatbelt.

I hopped in the car and decided to sleep.

I Can't believe Annalise Price, daughter of my favorite baseball player, is going to be living with me. I can't make a move but, Jack can. She's so gorgeous and I can't have her. Lucky you Jack! You just get the girl I've been stalking on every social media I have! That sounded really stalkerish.

"Lise, wake up." I said, poking her cheek. "Oh hey Jack." She yawned. I grabbed her bags for her. We start school in 2 weeks. Her birthday is right before then. I have something special planned. I think her birthday is on September 1. I'm not sure. I'm not her stalker or anything.

We showed Anna our room and she got settled in. We had orientation in an hour. Jack and I are going to be Seniors and Anna will be a sophomore. I showered and fixed my hair. Sam and Nate were coming over to meet my foster sister. My phone buzzed.

S: WE HERE. ANSWER YOU DOOR

Sam messaged me. I ran downstairs. "Hey guys." I said, answering the door. "Where's the fresh meat?" Sam asked. "She ain't fresh meat! She and I got a little something." Jack tried to quote Nelly. "That Nelly line didn't work so well for you." Nate joked. "It did t-" Jack didn't finish his line.

The boys all had their jaws on the floor. Anna walked downstairs. She looked amazing. Except, my feelings are like, gone. I feel more like protecting her from my friends than wanting to date her. Is this what being a brother feels like?

"Guys. Guys, Anna is off limits. She's too young to have a boyfriend." I told them all. "What do you mean, 'I am too young to have a boyfriend?'" She asked me. "Uhh...You're only 15 and Nate, Sam, and Jack are practically undressing you with their eyes. I don't want them to end up hurting you." I said. She looked at me with passion in her eyes. "Oh Jack! You seem like my brother already!" She hugged me. We walked out to my car and we drove to school.

I have no classes with Nate and Sam. I have some with Jack though. I'm the King of the school now. I'm so old. I'm a grandpa. "You're a Grandpa, eh?" Anna asked. "I said that out loud?" I replied and she nodded. Shit. "I was just quoting a vine!" I said, in defense. "No, you 'changed' the vine." She laughed. I playfully punched her arm.

Oh My Gosh. Sam is a major hottie!!! He's so cute. What JJ said was so sweet. He's going to be the best brother ever! "Anna, how sweet!" JJ said. "What?" I asked confused. "You think I'm going to be the best brother ever. Except, NO DATING!" He yelled. I guess I was thinking out loud again. That's me.

JJ and I were deciding on a movie to watch. "How about Paranormal Activity 3?" JJ asked me and I said "No. I hate scary movies." I stood up and put popcorn in the microwave. "How about Mean Girls?" I asked him. "We don't have it." He told me. "I've got it. Grease!" He yelled. "OMG! Yes! I love that movie." I said. "Me too, girl." He laughed.

He popped the movie in and I got the popcorn. We sat down. By the time Danny and Sandy were singing Summer Lovin' my eyes were already getting heavy. I soon enough fell asleep on JJ.

I woke up at noon. I've always been a late sleeper. I wondered how I got in my bed. JJ and I watched a movie last night. He probably carried me. I'm a little scared to go to a new school. You'd think because I've been to so many, New schools wouldn't scare me, but, they do. I walked downstairs.

"Morning Sleepy Head." Mrs. Johnson said. "Morning." I smiled. She made pancakes and bacon. "Thanks for breakfast." I said. "You're welcome sweetie!" She smiled. At 2 pm JJ finally came downstairs. I guess he sleeps later than I do.

"JJ, can you take me to the mall?" I asked him and he nodded. I went and got changed. I came back down and JJ was in the car. I hopped in the front and we were off. We went to Starbucks first.

I walked out of Starbucks and accidentally ran into a girl. "I'm so sorry." I said. I got a good look at the girl's face. "Ariana?" I asked. "Annalise?" She replied. "OMG! Girl, it's been too long!" I yelled. "I know right." She agreed. JJ walked over to us. "Hey JJ. This is my friend, Ariana. She and I were in Girls United together." I told him. Ariana couldn't keep her mouth closed.

"JJ and I were just about to leave. Here's my number. Text me." I told her. I had to get out of there before they undressed each other with their eyes. I got home and showered. I got out and my phone buzzed.

Ari: Hey Girl! It's Ari!

Anna: Hey. I missed you like crazy

Ari: I missed you too

I turned my phone off and got into my bed. I turned on Netflix and watched the first season of The Fosters. I don't care if I've already seen it. The Fosters is my life. After the 4th episode I called it a night.
