Best Friend?

Chapter 3

- Annalise -

"Lise, wake up." I heard. The only person who calls me Lise, is Hayes. "What do you want?" I spat. "We need to talk." Hayes sighed and I nodded. We walled to a secluded area. "I'm sorry. I overreacted. I shouldn't of flipped at you. I just wish you would've of told me Madi texted me. That's all." He said. "I'm sorry I've been ignoring you. That was kind of overreacting and I'm sorry I didn't tell you." I sighed. "Friends?" He asked. "Best friends." I replied with a smile.

"I missed hearing your voice everyday." He said. "So, I can't believe you and Madi are a thing now." I changed the subject. "Yeah. She's really nice. You and Matthew huh?" He smirked. I just couldn't hold my laughter in. "What's so funny?" He asked unaware of my sudden outburst. "You called him Matthew." I said in between laughter. We walked back into the room. Everyone was up.

"Anna!" Taylor yelled. "Tay Tay McBumbersnazzle!" I mimicked him. Everyone broke into laughter. "I heard your birthday is coming up, like next week." He smiled after laughing and I nodded. "We're taking you to Six Flags. No exceptions." He said in a serious tone. I just nodded. Matt walked over to me.

"Will you be my roller coaster buddy?" He asked me and I looked over at Hayes, who nodded. "Sure." I smiled. I walked over to Hayes. "Is it okay if Madi comes?" He questioned. "Sure. I don't like her but, for my best friend." I sighed. "Who's that lucky guy?" He joked. "Oh. I don't know. His name is Benjamin Grier. Have you heard of him?" I played along and he shook his head. I heard laughter from behind us. I turned around.

Madison. Madison Elle Beer. The Brown haired Barbie Doll. "Very funny." She said, sarcasm coating her every word. "Can I speak to um...Lisa right?" She lied. She knew my name. "It's Anna." I spat. Hayes walked away.

"Stay away from MY Hayes Boo." She threatened. "He isn't my Hayes Boo. He's MY best friend. Stop trying to take him from ME. He will always be my best friend and you can't take that from me." I spat and she was taken aback. I walked away satisfied.

"What did SHE want?" Kaye asked. "She told me to stay away from Hayes. Away from my best friend." I told her. We both laughed. Matt came up to me. Kaye left us alone. "I'm taking you to dinner. The day before your birthday." He smiled and I nodded. He kissed me on the cheek and left.

Madison makes me so mad. She hates me and Hayes can't see that. He literally needs to choose between me and her. I hate to do this to him but, it's the only way. I'll NEVER get to spend time with him. Maybe that'll be okay. I've got Kalyn and Matt. Maybe Annalayes should take a break. A big one.

- Hayes -

I've finally got Anna to accept the fact I'm dating her enemy. I love Madison and she needs to understand that. I love Anna but, I'm growing older. I'm 15 and Madi is my first girlfriend. I love her. A lot.

I walked in on Madi and Jack G kissing. "JACK!" I screamed. He quickly jumped. "What the hell?" I asked both of them. "Hayes, I'm so sorry. I didn't know you guys Were dating. She kissed me. Dude, please." Jack G begged. "MADI!" I screamed. "Hayes, he was tempting me. I didn't kiss him. He totally kissed me." Madi batted her eyelashes. I can't believe Jack would do such a thing. My own friend. "C'mon Mads. Let's go." I sighed leaving this hell hole.

- Annalise -

I'm sitting on the couch with Kaye and Madison walks in. Jack G was on the other couch on his phone. "Hey Jack." She calls. "Hi?" He questioned. "I don't fucking know you." He said as she Sat on his lap. "Get off." He tried pushing her. She crashed her lips onto his. He tried fighting it. Hayes walked in, furious.

"JACK!" He screamed. Jack quickly jumped. "What the hell?" He asked both of them. "Hayes, I'm so sorry. I didn't know you guys Were dating. She kissed me. Dude, please." Jack begged. "MADI!" Hayes screamed at her. "Hayes, he was tempting me. I didn't kiss him. He totally kissed me." Madison batted her eyelashes. Hayes stood there, staring. "C'mon Mads. Let's go." He huffed and walked out.

"I can't believe him." I scoffed. "Jack, I can't believe he didn't believe you." Kaye exclaimed. "She's got Hayes wrapped around her little finger." I snarled. I hate Madison Beer. I hate Madison Beer. Those 4 words kept repeating in mind. Over and over and over again.

"Hey!" Nash yelled as I left their house. "Why are you leaving?" He asked me. "Hayes and Madison. Did I ever mention I hate her?" I rolled my eyes and he chuckled. "Stay with me?" He pouted and I nodded. We walked into his room.

"I've decided to give you your birthday present early." He smiled, handing me a bag. I opened it and it revealed a "NASH GRIER" shirt. "Awh. Thanks Nashy." I hugged him. "I thought you might want a shirt with your favorite Grier's name on it." He joked around and Hayes walked in. "Can I speak to you?" He asked me and I nodded.

"Why have you been hanging out with Nash so much?" He totally flipped. "What? Am I not aloud to?" I spat. "You've been spending so much time with him and not me!" He yelled. "You've been on your phone every time I've been here, since you've got with Madison! I've got nothing to do. Nash asked me to hang with him! I can do What I want. Go spend time with your girlfriend!" I screamed and tried to leave. Hayes looked and me and then I felt stinging on my face.

He slapped me. Hayes Grier, my best friend, slapped me. I guess you could say ex-best friend.
